No kids , only 3 cats and they are terrified of the truck. They know it’s vet time when they get in the truck.

Then leave the liter box in there, a mouse, with some cat food and they'll have no choice! :p

Still don’t understand why this wasn’t standard with the TRD option. My wife’s 2012 Camry SE came with this. Come on Toyota!

I heard these are now on the '20s from the factory... are there any updated OEM parts available? I would assume the door handles on 2020s have the sensor on the bottom now at least.

Edit: assuming makes an ass of me - the smart handles are the same top/bottom.

The sensor is located on both sides of your 2018 handle. Just flip it for the passenger door.

2020s use the same parts. Toyota only makes two handles, smart and regular. They don’t make left and right. The handles are flipped to install the opposite way, there is no top or bottom, they are mirror images.
Internal pins and clips for the back of the handle are also the same.

I’m a dummy, not sure why I thought it was different top/bottom. Thanks for the response.

    Any clue about harnesses?

Everything in the original post is still the easiest and cheapest way of installing including making the same harness.

Great find:thumbsup:! Interesting to know if someone can provide some feedback as well. I wish there’s a picture of the harness in their website etc.
