Agree, though he was lifting his ass because he is weak so an arch may help with that :D:D:D

I like the narrow grip for building tricep and pushing power, since most overhead stuff in strongman needs that power.

I have been watching Julius Maddox and my bench style (I like to think) is closest to his. Not a lot of arch, big leg drive, etc.. I'm obviously nowhere near his strength, but his setup is what feels most comfortable.

I thought baby powder would help but nah lol. Working outside in the summer sucks for workouts in the evening.

Saw your bench vid, no wonder it took 2 of em. They looked like they weighed 80lbs lol

They are about 160-170lb, so yeah same thing.

But for real they are both strong and good at CrossFit BUT they are shit spotters with anything but a CrossFit movement.

I’m not a power lifter or bench guru for sure, but I’d say bring your feet back closer to your ass and get on your toes more...which I see has already been said. So I’m late to the party.

late to the party too, but agree. Your feet should be under your hips and get some arch in your back. The arch will put your shoulders in a more favorable position, minimizing the risk for injury and engaging your lats more.

I know some powerlifting feds (like USAPL) make you bench flat footed but USAPL sucks and you aren’t a powerlifter so do it right, and use your toes.

Leg day yesterday then I did an 8 mile long run this morning.
I’m feeling the DOMS setting in.

Luckily I have a live in massage therapist.
I wish I also had a hot tub

Wait, if you can afford a live-in massage therapist, what's stopping you from getting a hot- never mind.

Reracked his first attempt bc it was misloaded. Spotters grabbed the second attempt bc he stalled. Injured himself somewhere on those attempts and did not attempt a third
