Congrats! My second favorite color! Other than the 4x4 any packages added? What was MSRP?

Is $500 off MSRP on a Pro a good deal? Just curious

The problem with low interest offers is you have to have the best credit to get them and I hear not everyone does. Then you give up the cash rebate, the cash rebate actually goes to the captive lender to cover the cost of the loan. Depends on what rate you actually can get on your own and how much you finance if you make out on the promotional rate.

As to the supply issue my Jeep is still running good I can wait but its no fun. I've saved a year and a half to have 12k to put down on my first brand new vehicle. I'm a bit excited it actually going to happen or is possible finally. I will probably keep waiting and looking at inventory online. Maybe by August or September it will be better if not then when MY2021 comes out. I'll keep saving too. Maybe I can get a TRD OR instead of an SR5.

Any truck in California is gonna cost more than a truck in a state like Idaho for instance. Different market. Different economy, Different price. So telling someone they paid too much for a truck when you're renting your 2k sq ft house in Alabama for 1400 a month and they are renting their 2k sq ft house in cali for 3500 a month seems kinda silly. If you don't understand my point, re-read my post until you figure it out. I'm on the central coast of Cali.. Ever wonder why Edmunds and Kbb asks for your zip code?

Many Pros are marked up above MSRP, especially on the west coast it seems, so if you can get a bit under it, I think that is pretty good. Nearly impossible to get the 10%+ off like the other trims, unless you are buying last year's model!

I agree with you, but is this rant aimed at someone or just the thread in general? Quote or @ if you are replying to a specific person.

In general, if you want an incentive type of interest-rate you have to sub it for the rebate. When there was a 0% interest rate you could take that or the $1750 rebate. Similar to buying points on a mortgage. I’ve never actually thought about it but I’d be willing to bet that they would give you a 0% interest rate at any time if you’re willing to pay extra for it. When getting a 0% interest rate in lieu of a 1750 rebate, The break even point is financing at least $22,500. What I am planning on doing is if you bring in your own financing, they will beat it though. Don’t mention that this is the plan until you get into the finance room. The best rate I’ve seen so far is 2.99, but I haven’t really looked. Monday I’m about to hit it hard to try and find a good rate.

2.99 is really good. How many months is that for on the loan term. I was offered 3.49 at my credit union for a 60 months loan term, I even have credit score over 800.

Slightly less than average of a good deal. But in all honesty if you’re buying a pro you really have to just go with the do it makes you happy philosophy.

When I bought my 2016 Tacoma, they were the best rate I found. So I brought that financing with me into the finance room showed it to the finance guy and he beat it by .14

yeah, that was kinda my point. there's no benefit in 0% if the selling price goes up. and i've seen that even with price quotes that weren't based on Toyota rebates. in my experience after getting quotes from a few dealers, the financing terms are a shell game. the total amount paid for the vehicle remains the same.

Wow those are great rates for the dealership to beat. Looks like a government employee credit union. Not a place I can likely join.

I will probably just see if they can beat these rates when we get some more tacos in stock.

Same as where I'm at. It's a community credit union so anyone that lives or works in the area can join for $5.00

Bed Mat and Go Pro. Toyota made it so good, doesn't need much mods. Don't like getting her dirty!!
8% seems like the going rate for dealer discounts, any more than that they will try to make up elsewhere in financing, warranties, add ones, and gap....

I remember back when I worked as a Toyota salesman and bought my 1st new vehicle. Was a brand new highest of the hight most optioned out 2008 trd Sport 4x4 dbsb.

Back then we touted that the Tacoma was not a luxury vehicle. Hence why it wasn't loaded with sunroofs, leather, heated seats... or any other bish ash amenities.

It was bare bones and I dug it.

MSRP for my new 08 was 32,190. That was the top price range back then.

    Crazy how times change.
