Plenty of beer and I'll even feed you. So you don't hunt my doofus dog.

And I got a huge couch too. (not "casting room" black leather either)

I know. This community is the single greatest one I've been a part of.

I just don't want to get to the point of severely fucking anything up... having my truck be undriveable for an extended period of time (although at this point I still have my 98) or getting in way above my head and not being able to figure it out, even with the help of the forum online.

    One day though...

Sounds like main bearing in starter is going out. Same thing happened to mine.

Let me know if you pull the trigger on this and you need another set of hands. I’m not far from the PRB!

    Hell yeah.

I'm pretty sure you've been to my house. Or maybe I stalked you on 287 once.

    Something like that.

    Haha!

You bought one of my stock bumpers to add to your menagerie :p

But seriously, once I get my garage office build done, you’re welcome to cruise over and do the swap in the shop. I haven’t done it myself, but we could always bug @TMFF for pro tips.

Oh yeah, we met at the hospital or something. Good lord... getting old sucks.

And yeah Tim is godsent. I was thinking about dropping my truck off in his garage with all the parts, stack of cash and a note saying, "please swap." Or just chaining myself to his DCLB as the first step of negotiating its purchase. Or at least until he started to drag me down the road.

I feel you on the getting old shit... everything hurts.

I'm down, but I am driving not flying. That way I can bring my tools and shit! I don't see any reason we couldn't get it done over a long weekend man :)

If you're any where near for real I'll make it worth your time with cash and also becoming your new best friend.

And yeah... spent the better part of 5 hours laying/crawling on my driveway, with Jon, under this truck and my body was pretty jacked that evening and into the morning.

What are you trying to get done?

You know you're always welcome in my garage. I've got angle grinders, sawzalls, BFHs, and a welder. There's nothing we can't fix. :sawzall: Look at my truck, its a perfect example!

Looking to swap the R150F transmission into the 04.

And I’m totally down to drive up and ensure my truck makes it into the “what’s gonna break now?” thread

Haha, I'd never take your cash man. Food and place to crash is one thing... Now friends I can always use more of, especially Tacoma friends :)

It sounds like everyone is ripe for one hell of a "mod day" and I'd dig meeting some fellow TW members. Sounds like you need to get busy getting all your parts together mate :D

UPS just dropped off the CV axles from CVJ.

@Digiratus - Yep they are indeed painted green from them, so that adds up. Good to know!

extended travel on the inners and OEM on the outers. Going to be interesting to see what my CV angle ends up looking like.

No joke, I'd take any excuse to visit Colorado again. But really, it's hard to screw it up. The most complicated part is the clutch, and the hardest part physically is de pinning. Other than that I don't remember anything to screw up that'd put you out of commission, just waiting on parts.

Im sourcing the appropriate ECU so hopefully depinning isn’t a thing.

Just waiting in confirmation from @osterhagen to see if the ECU swap works. Seems like it will from all my research.

That would be pretty awesome. Swap in a manual and celebrate with a bit of wheeling!

Hopefully it all goes well. Will save a few hours, and sore body from all the contorting.

$281.00 each. (Paid extra for OEM boots)

I am eating the core charge ($95.00) because I want to keep my OEM's and reboot them for trail spares.
