I might be leaning that way in the future. Seems like a fun project.

Nope, I was born in the Marshall Islands but lived in Hawaii for a bit. His Mom and I are both life long surfers and just love the meaning

If you can’t fab it from scratch I would highly suggest DTF’s 3 link kit. Steve fn nailed it from both a design and performance standpoint! Don’t hodge podge a bunch of generic parts and non taco specific links ...a couple folks have done that recently and it is cringe worthy when you understand the geometry etc

Glad that little man is healthy. My daughters name is Sakai. Her little sister calls her Kai Kai. I stumbled upon your build page for many reasons. Maybe a beer one day as I live in Costa Mesa but my wife played VB at USD so we are down there all the time. Cheers to dads.

Well, it's not a total deal breaker I would have to enlarge or sell my current remote reservoir shocks or something to make it work though.

What would you let it go for without the gussetted spindles?

My little man is home from the NICU !

Just waiting on my Fiberwerx order before turning @81Trekker at JD Fab loose on the taco.

Finalized the rebuild / next phase agenda :

JD Fab +4 kit w/ 934 cv’s and heim steering & dbl shear steering gussets for spindles

    JD Fab steering slide rack

    JD Fab LCA pivot kit

    JD Fab bypass hoops

Widening front and rear bumpers to match glass

Custom camper shell support & molding lower edges of shell to match new bedsides. JD Fab is making the support structure and I will be doing all of the body work.

Wrap tbd but leaning toward a full color change

Well...the transformation begins. Just got my glass from Fiberwerx and I need to get all four corners installed and get all of my Linex chemically stripped off of the bumpers and sliders before I hand the truck over to @81Trekker because we will be widening and reshaping the bumpers to fit the glass.

FYI stripping Linex manually or grinding it all off is gnarly, had an idea and found a local chrome shop that will chem strip it for me. It’s a bit pricey but when you factor in your time it is well worth it IMO.

Just got one fender done today, fitting glass up is as bad as everyone says it is. I can see myself spending a couple months in my spare time body working all of the panels after it comes back from JD Fab.

I have also decided to go ahead and fab a custom snorkel while I am at it.
