Good idea, might be a little inhospitable at times though depending on the weather but possibly doable.

Nah, I thought about it but I live on an actual river with a few smaller inlet creeks.

Put on a new roof basket. I'd like to thank Toyota for putting the factory roof mounts 41" apart because of that I had to sell my old basket and hunt down one that was just barely long enough to bridge the gap. I know I could get the basket expander but then the basket would be too long for what I need and it would look weird. Plus I didn't want to spend more than $400 on a basket I use twice a year.

I had to MacGyver some spacers to keep tension on the far side of the brackets but it passed a 90mph road test so I think I'm good to go.
Maybe when I'm not swamped with work I will fabricate some different brackets to properly mount the basket.

They looked good but I'll put the studs of shackles through them tomorrow before I hit them again with the rattle can. If they don't fit I'll run a core drill through them. Appreciate the heads up, didn't think to check.:thumbsup:

Nothing to over the top, added the over used trd pro grille with raptor lights but I’ve yet to see any tacos around me other then pros with it and also polished then ceramic coated the truck!59DA2A4C-4FB0-45F1-9B86-18988900F480.jpg 8E40F5AA-1A28-40B1-BF16-3C5744D91E00.jpg 634F0C91-7FB0-4DE9-B664-2A3C44384ACE.jpg

I used the cquartz U.K. 3.0, was extremely easy to apply and very forgiving on the flash time.

Nice, I coated mine with cquarts U.K. 3.0 back in November and I just coated my new wheels the other day with Carpro Delux wheel coating. I haven't coated a car prior to coating my truck. I did however play with coating my GT350R wheels (man does that help with the brake dust build up) to test the application process before coating the whole truck. I love how the coating is holding up so far.

Oh awesome, I’ve been debating on trying that delux coating too. How was the application and was it as easy with flash times? You and me both, first time I’ve ever applied a ceramic coat as well. My buddy tried to warn me against it saying he had a lot of high spots after curing but he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to that kind of stuff but I’m glad I did it lol.

I would recommend taking the wheels off of the truck to clean and coat them. It makes it easier to get into all of the nooks and crannies and makes leveling the coating easier too. I typically wait an hour between each layer and I just did two layers of the coating but I think the max number of layers you can do is 3. I start with the barrels and then move to the face of the wheels and the barrels typically soak up a lot of the coating so be sure to add more to the applicator pad. If its 60-75 degrees outside I can typically do the whole wheel and still have a few minutes before it starts to flash.
