How do you like them? I've seen multiple recommendations for BD squadron SAE, but at $430 I don't feel the need to pull the trigger anytime soon.

I like em a lot. I have the sport version and they are bright as hell. They also have a pro version still much cheaper.

Thanks for your advice! I'll add these to my parts list of things to upgrade once I get the chance to do some serious driving at night and see if I really need them.

Everybody doesn't want a double cab. At least not me.

I had a 2016 TRD Sport AC in Quicksand, bought it on impulse but hated the color so I got a 2018 TRD Off Road DC thinking that the rear seat would be useful. But I never used the rear seat on the DC and the 5' bed was too short for my needs. Prior to the 2016 I had a couple Gen 2 AC Off Roads and that's really the combination that I like. So now I'm in a 2020 AC Off Road and pretty happy with it. I can now properly carry my motorcycles again and want to get a kayak which should fit better in the longer bed. And I think that the AC is way better looking than a double cab. The proportions just aren't right on a DC and it looks more like a soccer mom vehicle than a proper truck.

Anyway, there aren't many access cab Tacomas available in the Northern New England area and the ones that are available are SR and SR5 models with a few Sports out there, too. Very few AC Off Roads but my dealer was able to get one from another state.

By the way, I could not find the AC only thread on here. Can somebody give me a link? Thanks.

Access cab all the way !!!!
On that note I would also go to the dealer right now if a regular cab was still an option and get one just to look at

I have seen a couple of posts of your beautiful truck and I have a question.

What is going on with the wheel wells?...

They do not look like all the other Tacomas and I would like to ask what you did to get it to look like that because it is cool.

Did you just remove the wheel well liner thing or did you replace them with aftermarket?

if you removed the liners, did it look like that after you unscrewed them and pulled them off, no holes or anything it just looked like that?

I would like to do that, but would be scared to try without more info because first and second gens had holes with clips in the actual body metal which look bad with the wheel well liners removed, but if that changed on the 3rd gens, it is a game changer because it looks slick.

    Thank you

Appreciate the comments. No I got black under carriage spray and coated the wheel wells as well as the axles. Looks a lot cleaner

3rd Toyota truck I've owned in 40 years of driving. If this one is as good as the 22r motor (i think that was the motor) I will be very happy. Got little upgrades to do-as I have other vehicles. Gonna be fun

I truly envy you no rear seat/cab space needing mofo's. I looked. It wouldn't work for me. Access cabs are the best looking tacomas hands down.

You’re driving an OR long bed, now that’s what I’d love to have for camping man.
