Installed the TRD Skid Plate after customization...

Hit it with some bedliner spray and color matched the logo with Cement touch up paint.

Not too difficult and it will make oil changes easier since it has a little door for the filter unlike the stock skid plate.

I really like them. They look a little skinnier now that the flap is gone lol. They handle great and I like the look.

Right on, I do too. Taller, but not necessarily wider so a smaller contact patch and less rolling resistance. I have 17" rims so I really want 255-75-17s but I am not sure they will fit... I am actually off to do more research at tire stores...

I don't see any difference between the openings on my OEM Pro skid plate and yours. :notsure:

I think he meant the stock skid plates that come on the ORs, no little access hatch. They have to be completely removed to do an oil change.

Was that thing supposed to be a skid plate. I thought it was just a bug shield for the oil filter housing. When I removed it I couldn't give that thing away. For what Toyota paid to stamp 2 pieces of sheet metal for the stock "skids" they could have put a regular 1 piece skid on there. But then they couldn't charge a ridiculous price for the TRD skid.

Some just call them splash guards, which seems more appropriate. Of course Toyota would call them skid plates...

I dunno, I've been known to reuse paper towels. Now toilet paper, that's a different story.

The oem skids were kind of like wearing a jock strap without a cup.
