All the AG Tacomas are insane! They look so sick. What you guys think about these wheels? Anyone rocking them? Too much green for one truck? I like em. 3C0CCCC9-BFD4-462C-9765-631334758F8D.jpg

They look nice. I figure I paid too much money for the Trd pro package to replace anything at the moment. Haha. I just want to keep adding new components for now

Pretty much why this is really the only TW thread I check on daily now. I haven't experienced any thing like you did, but some of that stuff like you described is hard to read sometimes. Stay Green.

Thought I'd check on AG's for sale nationwide again just for poo's and giggle's. Seems there is now no new ones listed for sale. Not on the major websites anyways. There are what appears to be 2 used ones for sale. And both listed for above MSRP! or at least above market value!
Say hello to the other shade of Green boys!

I guess I am not surprised other than there are not more 'used' AG Taco's for sale. My gut tells me these were traded-in not due to dis-liking the Taco but maybe not being able to afford the mortgage payments after being laid-off. I remember when you went to purchase a new car you worked hard to get the monthly payments down around $350.00 and 36 months. Today's norm is 5-7 years with a mortgage size payment. When I financed my AG the dealership finance department thought I was crazy for wanting to put down actual money to lessen payment and years of the loan. How odd, I have been saving specifically for my 'retirement' purchase. Although my vehicle of choice was changed due to not being able to get a Toyota LC-76 into the country and licensed. So I went in a different direction and low-n-behold the AG MT Pro comes online - so here we are.

I'm mostly a lurker on this site but not for long. I ordered my AG Pro right before Corona shut down our dealers- March 11th, and yesterday I finally got my build date- August 5th. Delivery 3 weeks after that.

Also, my salesman is quite sure of himself, that my TDR Pro is being built in Mexico, not Texas. I'm sure the build quality will be the same, but I kind of wanted to say my truck was built in Texas.

Welcome!! That's awesome news on the build date. Is it a 2020 or a 2021? Seems awful late for a 2020...but maybe the shift to Mexico makes it possible.

I had no idea this color was coming out. Just happened, when I started looking for a new Tacoma I saw this color was being built and it was love at first sight. Wasn’t planning on spending this amount but WTF! You only live once right? The rest is history:) Salesman was definitely surprised when I told him I was putting 30k down and had my own financing that the dealership couldn’t match:D Saved $300/mo. for 10 years. $350 payment but I am at 5 years. Hopefully I can pay off sooner:thumbsup:

Salespeople are stupid. When I was inquiring about when a local dealership would have their 2020 Pro, they tried to sell me on a 19 Pro they had on the lot with "They're the same". Highly, highly doubt your Pro is built in Mex. Gonna need the receipts on that one.

It is a 2020 for sure. Since the plants were closed for a few months, I sure they have a backlog of orders waiting.

By the way, thanks for all your contribution and photos to this particular thread!

Thanks for this confirmation. You sound like you know what you are talking about, far more than my "know-it-all" salesman.
Can you remind me again how I confirm where my truck was assembled once I get it? The first thing I will do is send proof to my salesman!

Glad to hear you got an allocation!!! You are going to love the AG Pro. Just get out the :spending: and send it to @MESO .:rofl:

I was planning on waiting until March to look for an allocation....luckily my wife gave me the go ahead in January!

We’re all here to help. Your VIN will begin with a 5, indicating Texas built. VINs that begin with a 3 are Baja.

Ha! Funny, I was going to buy a used taco, which would of course be the more practical choice. My wife however, being less practical than I am, and already upset that I sold our beloved Phoenix Yellow M3 in order for me to buy a pickup truck, told me to go buy a brand new Tacoma. As soon as I had the wife-blessing, I immediately considered nothing but the Pro in Army Green. When I make a big purchase, I prefer to get the rare enthusiast version whenever possible. This has always worked out for me in the long run so far, and I have a feeling I won't regret spending the extra cash to step up to the TRD Pro. This is going to be my work truck, carrying around my PDR tools to retail jobs, as well as a family car for hauling 4 bikes in the bed, snowboards and skis, and lots of Home Depot weekend warrior project shopping trips. One truck to do everything! I'm super excited. Meso will have to wait a few years though... I'm going to (hopefully) just buy a few basic necessities like a Lomax cover and a pop-and-lock for now. Of course, that is what everybody says at first.

I know the feeling! I sold my 323ci for a Subaru Baja a few years back when I needed a small truck after retiring from the Army. I'm days from retiring again and sold my 2004 Tacoma OR Extra cab to get the Pro and it had to be AG of course! I've still got a 96 Z3 in the garage that I bought new on my last tour in Germany. Actually had a chance to drive a Phoenix Yellow M3 on the performance test track at the BMW plant in NC. Awesome ride!

Has anyone in the Team AG turned off the incessant beeping that occurs if you shut the engine off with the door open?
I have Carista but cannot find it. Was hoping someone had an idea about it.

Hey @Devious6 these trim plates look great. It's about time I install mine. Is all you need to do is remove the grill, then replace the plates? I remember something about some clips that tend to break. Also, was there a YouTube video you followed to help with the install? Thanks!

To get at the lower screw you have to fully expose the headlights - so you've got to remove the grill, loosen the bumper cover and also loosen the over-fenders to pull the bumper cover away from the headlights. To loosen the over-fender you push out the two lower clips and pull the over-fender outward. The 3rd clip up is the "infamous" blue clip that often breaks. I was able to replace my plates without fully disengaging the bumper cover at the sides - got them down enough to get a small screwdriver on the lower screw. I didn't break the blue clip..but have two on hand just in case.

Look at this video to see how to get at the headlights - you just need to get far enough along to get at the plate screws, not remove the lights. It's easier than it sounds. Post #7 I think : https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/headlight-trim-plates.579829/
