    You guys have tie down straps in your trucks? What length straps do you have? I was looking at some 10' yesterday and was wondering if they'd be long enough :eek:

    Thats what I use. I keep 4, 10 foot tie straps, and they work well in our trucks.

    Go longer than you need and get the adjustable ones where you feed the strap through the ratchet and just pull more strap through for a shorter strap.

    I had no idea they worked that way until the guy at fastenal showed me when I picked up my bumpers.

    i have like 8 10' ratchet straps and 2 12' straps. use the 10's all the time for everything :)

    got the 12' for transporting two big ass windows

    dont get the kind that wind the strap up internally. they seem to break easily. :)

    You dont need anything too large either. For the light duty stuff (Under 500#) I use these:

    :thumbsup: I like that kind... we used to use that kind when building pallets for shipment.

    My only problem is I can't seem to get the non-ratchet type very tight :eek: I'm a weakling :anonymous: I doubt I'll ever haul anything over 500 lbs.
