Have you thought of going to a hardware store or McMaster carr to get a longer bolt and a spacer? I know prinsu and uptop provide spacers to prevent the biting

Damn man, you must have $1000 in sound proofing in there. Nice job.

One other tip about headrests if you don't want to remove them, they fold down in the back.

It was my understanding that Xtreme Dynamat wasn't suppose to be used on the roof as the adhesive would fail overtime d/t its weight :notsure:

That's entirely possible. Guess I'll find out in time. It is parked in the shade 95% of the time so that might help. :hattip:

    A growing list of stuff
That is completely false. I have installed tons of Dynamat Xtreme and similar heavy butyl rubber deadening products on the roof skins and never once had it come down. The only time you have any issues is when you have a dirty surface to adhere to.

We even had a few where we used the original Dynaliner Max that had the lead layer sandwiched between foam, although that was adhered with the good old contact cement before the water based crap came along.

My old Honda Accord had 4k retail worth of material that we did the whole car with. They unloaded it off a truck on a pallet. All the metal had double layer Xtreme with some parts triple, and the Dynaliner Max on the entire floor and roof skin as well. All interior panels also had at least one layer as well of Xtreme. Even our rep from Dynamic Control (the makers of Dynamat) was baffled at the quantity that went into that car...

Hey Bob. Let me know what shackles you bought and if they fit without any modifications. This may be something I do down the road and would prefer not to have to do any modifications to make them fit. Thanks Bud.

Hey, question for the soundproofing guys....

The Retrax tonneau covers have a sheet metal canister that is exposed and I'd like to cover it in some rubber/vinyl so it doesn't get whacked by surfboard fins or camping gear. Can anyone recommend a thin (1/8" maybe?) type of soundproofing with an adhesive back that would work? I thought about using outdoor carpet or some other flexible/durable material with rubber cement, but it seems like some thin MLV might actually work better. Ideas?

Good question. I put on a brave face and carry her like a 60lb bag of concrete halfway up the ladder and toss her in. M

Getting her out is always the harder part. My chest gets scratched to hell on our descent down the ladder every time. She needs a slide or something.

Got my assignment dialed thanks to arms. Left/Right Camber/Caster/Toe. Unfortunately, the alignment shop couldn't reset the yaw sensor so I have to get that done at Firestone.

Do the steering wheel buttons and voice control still work? Better yet, does anything not work from stock?
