^ Begging the question of how the Tavor compares to the shorty ARs next to it.

edit: If they'd made a Tavor with a 20" barrel instead of the stupid 4" extended flash hider for CA compliance, I may have bought one.

The benefit of the Tavor is versatility. It matches the long guns in accuracy at range with the 16” barrel and the maneuverability of the AR pistols with an overall length of 26”. It’s pretty heavy compared to the AR pistols though. With that being said, you could have a lightweight shorty AR pistol for close range and another AR with a 20” barrel for less money than one Tavor.

Liberty revolution 18. Got it for $200 on CL. Went to pick it up, when it was $300, girl who was selling it gave me the combo. It didn't work. She wasn't shady and I actually new her from friends of friends randomly after talking. Said she would take $200 bc it wouldn't open. I agreed knowing i could have to drilled or try calling liberty. I called liberty, gave the the serial # and the combo I had. They said it was so close and only the first number was one off and the second number was was reversed digits, they took my word on not steeling the safe and gave em the combo bc it was so close to what I had. Best $200 gunsafe ever. Put in led lights and a motion sensor so it turns on when the door opens.

Holy shit, that is insane.... So now thieves reading this will be targeting Liberty safes.

I have a Liberty safe and now wish I did didn't. I guarantee you I'll never buy another.

    Calm down.

There’s a million ways to get a safe opened. If not liberty safe giving the combo, one could just say to a locksmith who specializes in safes that they inherited a safe from their family member but don’t have the combo. If you’re safe is an actual safe, not a cheap locker and is bolted down, your stuff will be fine. If someone has enough time to come into your house with a plasma cutter and go to town, there’s other issues to address.

I used to think the same as you and had a big box safe (A liberty too) for many years.....after watching a few you tube videos...any store bought safe can be broken into in less than 1 minute with 2 guys and a couple of pinch/pry bars. No plasma cutter or grinder needed. Yes any safe is better than nothing, but if you want to have piece of mind and have irreplaceable or NFA items...spend the extra money and get a real safe, if that is what you need. I ended up getting a Sturdy Safe. The difference in construction is night and day.

Negative. Nor was I defending liberty safes. I have flat panel locks. To peel my door with a crowbar would require the the ability to have enough force against the amount of surface area it holds. To get extra leverage, people like in your YouTube videos like to push the safe over and so they can use feet and add more leverage. Again, talking about a real safe, you’ll have to push 900lbs of empty safe over, but you can’t because it’s lagged down to the foundation. So that leaves plasma, and unless you can get the safe open in 5-15 minutes...someone is going to go investigate why my alarms are going off.

I agree with you though, that the need to know what to look for when buying a safe, and cheap safes ARE defeatable...that’s not what I meant a by actual safe. So I’ll extend it to “real safe” instead of using locker as the example vs actual safe.

I had the combo it was just slightly off. The rep would have told me to pound sand if it wasn't even close to what the combo actually was.
