Still stoked. Wheels and tires next. Or maybe a rack?

I'm sure the ride quality is pretty similar. Is it a pretty rough ride with the heavy leafs?

I'm running heavy leafs and it feels pretty rough. I went for the heavy because you can just take a leaf out and then it becomes the medium pack. Gonna go through summer/fall with this setup and then try taking out a leaf in the winter when I'm not camping as much.

Is there a difference in ride quality when setting the 6112s at different notches? Say 5/6 setting vs 4/5 setting?

This depends upon a lot of different things. Stock set up? Armor? On or offroad? 5/6 will be a little stiffer but not that much more.

Going to be ordering 6112s and 5160s with Wheelers 3 leaf aal and JBA uppers. Going to set the fronts at 6/5. Hoping to be be about level if not just a tad rake in the rear. 285/70s will going on as well. Question - what else do I need to purchase to complete the kit? I know about the ECGS bearing, that'll come eventually I'm sure. Do I need the sway bar drop, diff drop and carrier bearing spacer?

thanks man! stage 4 kit from runnin4tacos if and when you do.

the hardest part right now is finding out what size wheel (size, offset, backspacing) and tire that will fit without cutting and trimming. I know 265 and 275 will clear from what I know but curious to see if 285s will fit too.

I would say that the only thing that would be good to get is the carrier bearing spacer.

This has been a long debate on tw. I have mine on the 4th and didn't do one. It "can" help "a little" with front axel angles but not really much at all. Most people don't and are fine. I do know that by adding one, will not allow you from ever putting on a front end aftermarket skid plate. I wouldn't spend the money on one, just my 2 cents, but it is up to you.

    Makes sense.

One last question, JBA or SPC for the upper control arms?

Once again, large debate over this. I have JBA and I will sing their praises. A lot of people have SPC and are very happy. JBA'S are engineered with adding 3° caster to your normal alignment for the option for larger tires and have greasable zerk fittings for the bushings. The SPC has a bolt and nut adjustment to dial in the caster. Personally i will always go with JBA. They are rock solid and come with a lifetime warranty and a moog ball joint that you can get at any auto parts store. (I think it is off of a GMC 2500 or something like that). I am not quite sure if the SPC ball joint. I also know that the customer service at JBA is top notch as well.

@Tbgreen89 BTW, when you are changing out your uppers, do yourself a favor and go to the toyota dealership and but 2 new UCA bolts. Getting out the old bolts by pulling them through the engine bay is a pain in the ass. If you take off the nut, then cut them out, then replace the old ones with new ones from the bottom up rather then top down through the engine bay, it will save you a lot of time and hassle.

@Tbgreen89 Only if it's needed. As headstrong recently posted here. I and many many others don't need carrier bearing drop, diff drop, axle shims. All unnecessary unless you have issues. Don't waste money on something you might not need.

Any idea when these will be back in stock? There seems to a nationwide shortage (I assume because of COVID).
