Just what the title says. Any huge benefits of going from a 2019 to a 2020?

I have a 2019 TRD Off-road and dealer is trying to talk me into a 2020. I would be staying same color and package. Only thing I might consider changing is going from an auto to a manual and from a 5' bed to a 6' bed.

I saw the recent thread on the crawl control issue with some of the 2020s. I guess that could be an issue but if I went with a manual, non-issue.

2020 has a power seat if that interests you, also you can only get a 6 foot bed in a Manual with a Sport Access Cab.

You'd have to go access cab if you want a 6' manual

The access cab would be a no-go.

So I guess, I would have to go auto and a 6' bed.

Getting the 5' bed was my only regret on the 2019.

    Say what? :D

All jokes aside, i was a bit worried coming from 6ft bed. But honestly she never let me down yet.

My only issue with the 5' bed is I want to keep my fishing poles securely there under a cover. They are about 6" too long for that.

That's about it, other than you get apple car play/android auto as well. Sport trim has new/different rims.

I keep getting buy back letters in the mail too... jokes on them though because I plan on keeping mine. Only thing I would consider differently would be the MT especially now that I'm not driving nearly as much, but it would be a hard decision because you'd lose Push to start, which I love.

If you do "trade up" you will lose out on money no matter how good of value they give you for your trade

Run them diagonally in the bed. It's what I do. 6' will just fit, most 6'6" will not though. Very likely loss of trans cooler and possible 'weak' crawl control on auto v6 2020's. I'd stick with the 19 if was me.

Yeah i was too stupid to get a 6 ft bed
I thought 5ft was cooler and more off roady but damn a 6 foot bed i could sleep in. Considered trading it for a 2020 6ft bed but itd end up costing me too much

I'm close to giving up on finding a decent deal on a new/used 2020 and going with a 2019. Finding some good deals on low mileage ones out there.

I love my 2019. I never move the seat and put LEDs in. The Carplay I could use but I just use the phone. Waze is the only thing I would use.

Like others have said, the big differences are Apple Carplay/Android Auto, power driver seat, and optional LED headlights and fog lights. Personally, I also like the new grill better and I'm digging the new Sport wheels. My 2020 Sport with the premium package also came with the homelink mirror. I don't know if the 2019 models had that or not. I actually didn't realize the TRD models had that, so it was a nice surprise.

Now whether or not any of that is worth trading is up to you. I'm sure plenty of people have traded vehicles for less reasonable reasons.

TBF, they say this to every new owner within a few months after purchasing hoping to convince someone to trade in and up
