Yea. The discussion started before he decided to try to profit from it. I don't really care either way, I was just being facetious.

Yikes. Don't know why people care so much. I'm in it for the good of the group and see nothing wrong with sharing YOUR creation so long as it's YOURS, you give the appropriate acknowledgement, or follow proper licensing. All my stuff I post say that people can use but not profit.

As for the enclsure, absolutely. Using an enclosure, glass bed replacement, BLTouch sensor, and Bed Weld. Seems to keep everything in line.

Thank you. Spent very little time on them, but they perform great. One fan is intake and the other is exhaust. Have them on both sides and power from a little 12v battery. Keeps the back nice and cool while we are out in the field.

I'll have to look around at some other models. I like to design my stuff as I can make sure it hits on all the features I need it to.

Like those brackets you made. I went a little different route under the hood and used 2 light bars with adhesive and ran the wiring through the support structure of the hood. Had I seen this like 3 year ago, would have totally went your route. Very clean! Great work.

Thanks! I used to use the adhesive LED strips as well, but I was always worried it would come off and end up in the radiator fan. This makes me feel a little better about it. Also the rock lights are brighter and whiter.

I miss the days of handfired shows.

Yeah I was bored and my wife suggested that I create that as a gift for pyros at Christmas time LOL.

Done a few handfired shows recently but it's rare. We mostly do Pyro Digital, Pyro Magic, Cobra, Fire-one, and an occasional pinboard show. Good stuff. Our 3rd and 4th shows will be PD for sure.

Still experimenting with it, but it shows some promise for the home shop

(ignore the splatter and ugly welds still working on cleaning up that mess)

    Well done with the brake.

Today's project it mounts for the pegboard. I'll post photos later

Today's project and still printing mounts... Pegboard mounts! Needed to get my RC vehicles up and off to the side while having my project items within reach.

    @Pyrotech

I made the end have a bit better angle for you. Haven't tried it yet but will soon. Downside is that it takes a 1/4 of 1KG spool of filament using 4 shells, 90% infill and 6 layers top and bottom.

Looks pretty good...I have 2 spools of filament coming tomorrow. I may try printing a low infill prototype to see how your revised angle works on my bottom plate

I made these to help angle my tag lights more towards the license plate. After adding a steel bumper, the tag lights were in too far.

i know it’s hard to tell from photos, but each LED is directly centered over the vertical pieces of the grill

printed this up a few months back, but never had a chance to try it out until today. THIS is the reason I started playing around with 3d printed tooling. I always wanted a set of dimple dies, but for the very few times I have needed to use them, I could never justify the expense.

So I once I got my 3d printer, I picked up a spool of Carbon Fiber Nylon, just for this project.

    2- male dimple die.jpg 2-female dimple die.jpg

    20200624_123949.jpg
I am pretty pleased overall with the results and how well the printed die held up. and with the way it was designed I can get two different profiles out of it by changing the hole size.

These two test holes where done in 16g Mild steel. first hole was created with a 2" greenlee slug buster

    20200624_123739 (1).jpg 20200624_123749 (1).jpg

this second one, the initial hole was created with an 1 1/4" greenlee slugbuster. which left the hole just slightly undersized for the pilot on the die. and because of the die profile, creates a different shape.

    20200624_124202.jpg 20200624_124223.jpg

because the pilot on the printed male die was a slightly undersized, it took some minor damage on the second hole as it was forced through.

This is the final working prototype of the “Side Shooter” 3rd gen Tacoma shark fin delete.

I have a 2nd gen sharkfin delete “Bullet” cover already in production and can be found here:

I’m not very savvy for web design and I know it’s clunky, but that should change soon enough...

Awesome work guys. Keep them coming. Always great to see the creative side.

Today was a mostly RC day. a buddy of mine gave me a Traxxas Rustler from 1994. Thing was crashed pretty good. Lots of broken or missing parts, broken off screws, and some seriously outdated electronics. Off to the RC shop I went and got all updated and current electronics. New ESC, new transmitter and receiver bringing it into the 2.4g spectrum, and a new all metal steering Servo. Then began the install. Got all the old junk tore out, fixed the frame, fixed other misc broken items, extracted all the broken off screws, replaced all missing or broken screws, then the 3D printing commenced.

Printed up some new spring perches for the suspension, new and improved front bumper, rear wing, and other misc parts. In less than a day of having it in my possession, got it all back together and looking nearly new. Runs great and can’t even tell it had issues. Just need to install the last few printed parts and it’s done.
