A good Father's Day, cold beer and more mods on the Tacoma. Oh ya, and my wonderful children stopped by for dinner.

Baja Designs ditch lights to a factory(ish) lookin switch. Also picked up a K&N mostly for the washable filter.

Sound deadened my outer skins of my front and rear doors. Also added a few strip to the inner skins just for good measure. Will do the back panel in a couple of weeks. Also upgraded the speakers to Infinity Kappa 2 ohm
3 way in the rear doors. Went with Infinity Kappa component 2 ohm in the front. Put the 6X9's in the front doors and the tweeters in the dash. All I can say is both together, the sound deadening and the speaker upgrade. This is going to be a much more pleasant place to spend time.

I really wanted a sunroof, but didn't want anything else in the package, so I opted out. (I've contemplated cutting in an aftermarket unit) Glass is all but impossible to insulate against sound. I will say that I can't hear my prinsu at all, but when I carry my miter saw bench, I can vaguely hear the wind noise it generates.

I'm the opposite, I wanted the package but not sunroof. Almost 4yrs and only been opened for test drive.

Just finished the passenger door handle mod. This is the way Toyota should have rolled them off the factory. Going to be much easier now opening the wife’s door for her, and not searching for the fob in my pocket.

If you have amber DRL in turn signals, then you don't have the L shaped DRL. L shaped DRL are used in TRD models.

    Minor stuff.
In stalled my Body Armor bed rack. Got a mild concussion too. Was in the bed, turned and smashed my head against the cross bar. Not fun but oh well. I’ve survived a lot worse.

Took a quick look for those shackles. Pin diameter on them is 3/4". The hole diameter on the Demon Brackets is .905 so I'll need shackles with a 7/8" pin. With 1/32" of play I don't see a problem with fitment.
Now to find a decent set of shackles with 7/8" pins.

FYI the paint I used was Rustoleom Textured paint that I had left over from my HiLift and Recovery Tread projects.
Very forgiving, because of it being textured there is no over spray or orange peel visible once dry. You don't have to worry about keeping a wet edge like you do on most other spray paints. Once dry there is no start or stop visible. Nice stuff and matches the bed components perfectly. Need to grab another can to do my axe and shovel mount. Maybe I better grab a couple. TOMORROW! Seems like every time I find something that I like or that really works it gets discontinued. o_O

    Progress isn't always progress!

    Too many.
My boys helped me install the Total Chaos bed stiffeners, Mac’s chainsaw scabbard and expedition propane tank holder.
