    I bought the 12-can set for my entire armor setup, and there was no discount, which makes no sense. :crazy:

    That said, it was less than a third of the cost of what the local powdercoaters quoted me.

    Yeah, paying less than $70-90 for each skid would be ideal lol.

    255/85r16 ST Maxx 6112/5160 w/ Dakar RCI armor, sliders, and rear bumper CBI hidden winch mount w/ Smity 20k
    Sliders I sanded, primered, then rolled Raptor. I touch them up with Rustoleum Bedliner. Skids, I primed then straight to the Rustoleum. Easy to touch up after a wash down. I just did a sand and refinish a couple weeks ago to get rid of all the rust from scratches. They are already scratched up again, so no sense in putting a lot of effort into those.

    So I acquired some paint, including self-etching primer and pro grade bedliner. Is the primer a waste? Should I go straight to the bedliner after cleaning them with acetone?

    Read the instructions on the bedliner. Some need primer, some don’t.

    “Apply to bare or primed metal surface” is on the can itself.
