I Bought my truck April 2nd, adjusted the electric seat to my liking. I thought it was weird how the tilt/telescopic steering wheel doesn't do much of either, then I haven't touched either since. My GF doesn't drive my truck (her choice, something about not wanting to be the one to put the scratch in it or something). I do wish the Tacoma had Disc Brakes, but the drums seem to work well. My '93 T100 is still running original brake shoes in it's rear drums so if my Tacoma's brakes last even half as long, I'll be happy.

Ok. If a pizza is less than 100 dollars in 2024, I owe stun gun 1 of his choosing.

    I bet they're more though.

Providing I win the bet. I very well may owe you. As long as pizza is less than 100 bucks after the great US cow extinction, and the murder hornet invasion that ruined crops and killed millions, and the bread wars of 2022.

I think it proves how little braking the rear actually does combined with a massive surface are proving to be very effective in use.

Rear brakes is probably about the most maintenance free asspect of the Tacoma. I don't need the rear pads to float, clunk, or wear like the fronts.

Nah. In my 01 there was a proportioning valve, so unloaded, the braking proportion was mostly front, unless I was loaded, then the bed would drop, adjusting/opening the valve, and letting the rear brakes do more work. I didn’t see this valve set up in the ‘17, but your rear brakes aren’t Just doing nothing, they are just doing less, and that depends on how much you load the truck.

Yes, I'm aware of the valve. I had trucks before this one though and they used the rear brakes much more.
