Cargo Bed AC Power Outlet - what do you use it for?

can it be used to jumpstart a car and, if so, what cable is needed?

 

I have a wood pellet grill that I've used with mine and to charge phones and devices

 

I’ve only used it to charge my dogs E collar a few times...half the time I forget to click the button in the cab...doh!

 

Nothing; mine has never worked since day 1. Wish it did - I would charge RC and airsoft gun batteries, cellphone charging, you name it - pretty much anything that draws virtually zero power but needs 115v.

 

I have powered a small 2 gallon compressor, and even smaller portable inflator for mattresses etc.

 

That plug makes blowing up my dolls a dream. Sometimes I gotta top them off with some air, I don't even have to leave the bed.

 

I've never used mine. Got my truck new in '16

 

Anyone used it for a toaster? How can I find out the maximum wattage it puts out?

I’ve used mine a LOT to power my laptop for work.

 

I use it for to run the fan on a DIY A/C (igloo cooler) for my dogs. It really helps with the heat in the back in the shell.

 

I use it for KDMax tuning. Keep power to my laptop and battery tender/power supply.

But sometimes the other people at the mall parking lot snicker at me.

 

I have used it numerous times. During a black out I had the house fridge hooked up to it for 2 hours just to keep things cold and it worked but had to use short extension cord. I used it also on some power tools when out at the cabin. 400 watts is not very much but can be useful on small less powered appliances. Downfall is that engine as to be running to use it.
