I’m secretly Hoping that when I install your old bumper I get some of that #Randyfab awesomeness by osmosis :fingerscrossed:

Yeah, we’ve been back for a week. But it will be two more weeks before I can repaint and install the bumper.

Saturday, oil change and ATF drain/fill.

    Lifted it yesterday.

Bilsteins 5100s with 887 OME coils, SPC UCA's, Dakars, Timbren Bumpstops, and a ubolt flip kit.

I also bought a new Smittybilt 2nd gen RTT, but I had to move stuff recently so I hadn't gotten time to putting it back on.

I beat the crap out of my back bumper and cut a slot in the metal under the plastic step to make it sit flush - it wasn't worth the extra effort lol.

I've never adjusted rear brakes since I had my 55 Chevy in high school. Drive it in reverse, get it up to about 20 mph, and slam on the brakes, I do that about about 3 times. As long as everything is corrosion free and working properly I've never had an issue. I've written this before on TW and all I've gotten is grief from people who've never tried it/don't understand how self adjusting drums work. I guess I like self torture idk hahahaha! 1 guy wrote that the wheel cylinder would fall apart lmao!

Self adjusting rear brakes came out in the 60's.

Well I'll tell you, if you rebuild the drum and replace shoes/wheel cylinder/drum. Adjust the brakes properly before bleeding them.

Shoot. I told my wife this wasn't possible, due to my short bed. I also just want an excuse to get an enclosed trailer.

A little bit of 75k mile love...

Oil change, freshen up the power steering fluid, squirt the intermediate shaft with rust inhibitor, rotate the tires and dumped some fuel system cleaner in right before the fill up.

Put in a new X2 Power AGM battery, the voltage booster chip to get a consistent 14.5 volt charge, and did the big 4 wiring upgrade to 0 AWG wire.20200622_085101.jpg
