Hell of a weekend in Pisgah/DuPont with a bunch of Tacoma World Dorks. 4 of the 7 of us took a tumble at least once during the weekend but only one real injury. Weather held out for the most part. First time in Pisgah for a couple guys but everyone rocked it, can't wait for the next one!

You were doing just fine. We made it up that climb at a pretty good clip.

Revel released a new bike today. The Ranger has 115mm of rear travel, 120mm up front, and 29er wheels.

I'm beginning to think that everyone went to school on the success of GIANT's Trance Advanced Pro 29.

Assuming he used zip ties tied to the frame to check for rim wobble. Doesn't quite work for hops, but those can be seen much easier with the eye.

Looks like a blast! Wish I could have joined you guys. Hopefully next round, and maybe I can convince the SLC boys (@Gunshot-6A , @SenatorBlutarsky, @ginseng27) to caravan down with me.

I'd prob fly in to Charlotte and drive over. Last time I did that, I had a weekend with a very sporty Charger R/T and a Hightower. Dangerously fun combo!

Yeah I think other people already replied to you on the method but I built the wheel and turned each nipple the same amount to get a good baseline. Then installed wheels on the frame and used a zip tie wrapped around the frame to get the rims as close to round as possible. Here's a video demonstrating the technique. Took a couple hours but I got them damn near perfect.

It only gets easier. Except climbing, that always sucks the same, you just go faster.

I can't wait to get onto my local trails with my new perspective you guys helped to give me. Rain today may knock out my chance for a day or two, but soon.
