    Short bed all day.

I just make make sure on the dating apps that my profile says “Man seeking woman: Must like the outdoors, sleeping in a truck, and MUST be 4’9” or shorter, no exceptions”

I thought about upgrading my 18 to a 20 a few months ago when Toyota was offering 0% interest for 5 years. Pluses for me would have been the Apple CarPlay, Power seats and LED headlights. I looked for a few weeks in the SE US and couldn't find a Cement TRD OR with technology packaged and LED's and just gave up. My current 18 is a Cement TRD OR and I want the same. Plenty of white and black ones available.

Not sure where you’re from but in my state of California tax and license was well over 3,000 when I bought my truck. And that’s on the negotiated price, sticker was 39k on my truck and I got them down to 33,800. If you trade up to a 2020 you’ll be out T&L (What ever that is where you’re at) and your last down payment plus what ever you put down next. Just on T&L alone you could buy a lot of nice stuff for the 2019. In my opinion it’s not worth it. I also drive my vehicles for over 10 years so that’s my view anyway.

    Just my two cents.

Sounds like California is a massive rip off for taxes, here in Ohio you would only have to pay tax on the difference.

Don’t get me started, my registration is 516 bucks a year. I checked another state I wish I lived in and it’s only 69. You don’t even want to know what our property taxes are or anything else. This state is a giant mismanaged dumpster fire. Good luck with Ohio and keep all the Californians out.

My opinion is that the biggest benefit would be the headlights and panoramic camera. I wish I had the pano setup. Also, IIRC, 2020 is the final year for the 3rd gen and generally, the final year of any production run is the most desirable for re-sale.

Definitely not the final year for the 3rd Gen.

I would say the 4th Gen is several years away yet, 2020 was a refresh.

All i can say when looking at tacoma's whether a leftover 2019 or a new 2020 with basically the same options in both on the dealers lot...i was always pushed toward the 2020 saying its more refined plus you don't want a 1 year old truck. I can only guess the salesman makes a better commission if they sell the latest.

One big advantage of 2019 is you will get a aux transmission cooler with tow package, new 2020's after feb build have no aux trans cooler, I tow a lot so that is big in my book.

More likely we'll see a fourth gen come out around 2026. They will refresh the tundra next/first and itll be at least one more year before that happens, then a couple years dev time after that for the new Tacoma. Tacoma generations last about 10 years or so, 2016-2026 is my guess, 2027 first 4th gen model year.

Exactly, you wont see the next Tacoma until a couple years after the next Generation Tundra since it is going to be sharing that platform.

I have had both the 2019 and the 2020. I am so much happier with the 2020.

The Apple car play has been great especially compared to what the 19 had. Power seats are also a plus.

The 19 seemed out of date and the 20 seems up with the times just with the car play addition.

The grill looks a lot better and the 2020 has way less cab vibration or noise.

They basically corrected everything I didn’t like about the 19. The 19 was good but I didn’t love it. I love the 20.

Toyota loves the people who upgrade to new trucks every year. Must be nice to be so loaded.....or deep in debt and not care.

2020 Off Road has a different (better, IMO) grille and CarPlay.
