It is crazy. But I'm glad they keep them on road only that way when we get them they've been babied their whole life on the beautiful American roads... :D

It’s a damn shame. From the original Skylines and WRXs and Evos to the Cruisers, Patrols, etc. I remember being a kid in the 90s (pre Fast and Furious) scrounging for any details regarding these cars beyond Gran Turismo and sparse Japanese (and sometimes, Australian) websites. Was quite a hunt!

Totally agree man, I got into Cruisers and Yotas mid 90 as well, high school, and it was so hard to track stuff down or even find help. I remember having to pay like 10 bucks for the stupid Specter Off Road catalog!!! I have to pay or buy something to be able to order from you o_O:rofl:
That's the way it was back then. God bless thee internets :D

I test drove a GX when my wife and I were looking to replace our Grand Cherokee. I loved it, she said it rode like a truck. I said that’s why I liked it. So when faced with an impasse, we reached one of those compromises that happen after 30+ years of marriage and did exactly what she wanted and leased an Acura MDX.

Step pops and mom had a GX first gen and last year of it. And it was plush. They sold to get a Tundra to tow their camper all over but man I wanted it but didn't push for it.

This thread title should be changed to ToyoHub.

My first car when I was 16. Slow, boring, AT, ugly, embarrassing and yet I do miss the good times we had.

    She was a great car

That 1NZ engine was bullet proof. It saw action in the Echo, Yaris, xA, xB and the first 2 Prius gens.

My oldest daughter has a '10 Yaris with 150k hard earned miles. That little engine is solid.
