I might bail at 10, or take principal out at 10 and let profits ride, unknown strategy yet.

Seems pretty clear what happened. Protests and riots took the headlines away from the covid 19. Now that the numbers are the top story everyday, people are getting worried about how well things will be able to reopen, and pulling back to see what will happen. Taking those profits out from the little run we had, and waiting for good news before buying into the recovery again.

    Up 7% today..... :D

Yeah that's part of the risk of ETNs too, is they are at the mercy of the fund manager and the underlying assets. One reason I could be convinced to dump NRGU and just load it into 2 or 3 of the underlying stocks, miss out on potential gains but also miss out on a higher potential risk.

What do you mean by “depreciating value of the ETC?” I’m new to ETFs and have both NRGU and NAIL and have held them for like a month or so.

Phew...I was just looking at SPOT...It's up to $233...On 5/27 when it shot up to $180 I bought the $155 Jul 17 puts for $235....I closed them out on 6/11 during a dip for $310...I didn't want to be greedy and when you look at it it's a 33% profit...Those puts are a $0.20 bid today...

The AIRBNB CEO said travel as we know it is never coming back.

Really? Never? So in 50 years we won't be traveling because of the coronavirus? In 100 years? How can someone be so successful but so dumb at the same time?

I can see in the way that air travel changed after 9/11. He’s not saying we won’t be traveling in 50 or 100 years. I think he’s suggesting we will be doing something like full body scans that check for fevers or something like that in order to board.

I have not traveled any less since September 11. People are still worried about that? I get it, it changed, there's a metal detector and a long line now. The virus will be old news in a few months though, it will change nothing in the long term.

The industry changed, yes, but it rebounded stronger than before. I am not saying there will be some pain points to be dealt with moving forward, however, travel will continue to grow.

Again, it’s not the amount of traveling. I think you missed the point I was making.
Regardless of whether or not you’ve traveled more or less, there have been substantial changes in the way air travel happens. There’s been an entire new agency created to deal with these changes. It’s far dealer than “long lines and a couple metal detectors.”

I’m not making any comment on the amount of traveling; just that he’s probably right...we probably will get changes.

It seems you’re missing what I’m saying as well. I made no comment on “pain points” or any comment at all related to the amount of travel, whether it be reduced or increased. It was merely commenting that they were right; travel *changed.*

This is a cold virus though, not Islamic terrorists. It will be gone very soon.
