    I too had a similar experience (where I thought the led drls would operate as drls, solely) with this mod. I was completely aware that the stalk would not be able to operate the led drls on the drl setting on the stalk, but somehow thought the parking lights setting then took over for this. I was a bit disappointed when I realized my rear parking lights and license plate lights were on still. Of course this makes a lot more sense now, at the time I was researching this mod, I guess I didn’t think it through well enough.

    The other kind of bummer imo is the led DRLs staying on full brightness all the time. I haven’t done much night driving yet but can already anticipate getting flashed. They are BRIGHT.

    As far as the dim radio goes, I agree that is a drawback too. However under display settings you can switch it to “daytime” mode and the radio will then always operate as if it were daytime. You can always bump down the brightness a bit while driving at night.

    Fun mod, love the aesthetics as I hated my completely chrome SR5 lights and love the look of the leds, but definitely not perfect in all aspects. But, I suppose if I wanted perfect I should have grabbed one of the TRD models!

    I was thinking the exact same thing. All we can do is wait for Mike to make a SR5 harness unfortunately. Morimoto's DRL looks weird, and the alpharex looks great but the emblem is ugly. If they have been able to make a harness for the Tundra it is possible to make one for the Tacoma.
