    Good luck!

Does anyone have a Factory Service manual for 12-15? I know they have to be downloaded, I was hoping someone has done that and organized it. I don't mind paying the $20 subscription to TIS, but don't want to figure out how to get the files and be able to use them. My computer is 10 years old and barely functions. I really don't use them, so replacing it isn't high on my list. Getting the truck usable again is very high however.

Feel like I'm having flashbacks. We had an inground pool at our old house in Mississippi and was definitely a hole you threw money at. First summer was great, upkeep wasn't too bad even in our learning stage of water balance. Around fall the skimmer line developed a crack, so we had to cut the concrete and replace that. Year later during the winter the bottom drain cracked (unbeknownst to us), dumped all the water, and trashed the liner. New liner installed, but immediately dumped the water we were filling. Found the bottom drain line cracked so the guy plugged it. The initial startup the filter cracked and sent all the sand into the pool, so new filter. Even with the new liner and sealing the steps and bottom drain it would still leak water; we were filling almost weekly. Then one of the return lines cracked and sent water everywhere, even under the house. Was at the time the pool guy would no longer return calls, basically got our $6,000 with a leaking pool. It only leaked down 8" so we found it easier to fill it weekly since city water was cheap. Was horrible trying to keep the water balanced with only the skimmer pulling water, but I eventually found a happy balance. Also went through 2 more pumps because of this. Final year the newer filter did the same thing as the old one and sent all its sand into the pool. Found new inner parts and replaced them. Sold the house shortly after and moved back up to PA. So my experience with pools was not pleasant and I will never own another house with a pool. We barely used the thing, Hell I think our Red Fox Lab got more use out of it than we did. It did nothing for resale value, it actually made it harder to sell. We lost our ass on that house...

Sorry you had such a bad experience. Our old pool was built by my in-laws - a hole in the ground with railroad ties stacked on the sides, plywood nailed to that, concrete pads poured around it and a liner dropped over the sides. It was the last of it's type standing when we decided to build a new one when the pipes leaked so much we had to fill it daily and then try to keep the chlorine level right. We use ours a lot - went with saltwater so keeping the chemical balance is easy once you get the salt level right at the beginning of the year. It generates its own chlorine.
