PS4 / Xbox One... Reviews in Progress

I just started playing Last of Us Part II last night. Have read no reviews, no spoilers, no anything. Just experiencing it for myself, but interested to find out on my own why people think it's bad. 1.5 hours or so into playing and I enjoy it.

 

Get ready for disappointment

 

lol I don't think I will be disappointed, because I have zero expectations. I think the only thing that could really disappoint me is if it feels like it's cut short for some reason.

lol you are salty about it! I didn't make the game, but also never created expectations for it in my mind. Again, I'm interested when I finish it to see why everyone was so disappointed. Maybe I will be too.

 

Took me 17 hours to complete it

 

how'd you play? search and search for everything possible, move through the story line and just grab what you find easily, or a combination? I'm a combination, won't kill myself finding every little thing, but I do slow down and take in some of the stuff like reading signs and pictures and such.

 

I don't own a ps4, my friend let me borrow his so I kinda tried to speed run it, looting as much as possible along the way, you definitely want to try to loot cause of weapon/skill upgrades.

 

absolutely. I just meant like I'm not going crazy if I don't find all the collectables or whatever. so 17 hours pretty speed run...I'll probably take 25-ish hours then

I don't want to spoil it, all ill say is I thought the way they executed the story lines was well done, did I enjoy it? yes and no lol.

I became attached to the characters to the original game. And how they are treated in this game makes me wish I would have gone back to my original stance that they should have never made a sequel. So far, from the vast majority of reviews out there? I'm not the only one. I'm glad I didn't waste my money on this one. Had I not seen the leaks I would have bought it. But in a way... I'm glad I saw the leaks so it kept me from wasting my money. They should have left well enough alone. They went from the most revered game studios in existence to one of the most hated within a matter of a few weeks. I see why.

Well picked up Destiny 2 again, but on PC this time. Wish I was on PS4 still so I could get trials carried by you

 

Good luck with all the cheating that goes on in PvP on the PC side of things. There is no way I'd play PvP on PC. They have made it a little more difficult but it's still rampant.

 

Yeah I just don't care enough lol. I'm not that serious about playing and will likely mostly PvE

That's good to hear. I know they put in a time restriction to be able to participate Trials but all the other Crucible modes remain unchanged as far as I know? Hopefully they can get it under control.
