Running the new 2.0 33” with 5:29 thx. I have cattless dump tubes, got the cel about 20 miles in. It drives so much better then 19000. Worth the cel for a couple more weeks tell we get the full 2.0 for everything.

So I’ve been on 1.0.5 for about a year and had about 13k on my 19 6MT when I flashed 1.0.5. Tune was great I loved it. Way more low end and over all better but I still had some crazy weird issues shifting into 2nd (truck jerked like I let off the clutch super hard) no matter what I did. I’ve driven manual since I started driving. Everyone who rode with me would ask why I suck and when I let them drive they were worse! Learned to deal with it and the terrible rev hang that was also there from the day I bought it. 2.0 seems to have fixed the bucking. It’s almost like I’m driving my other truck. It drives normal. No crazy laggy pedal or weird bucking when shifting its just better. The only complaint I have is it still rev hangs. Kinda annoying because I was anticipating that to be fixed in 1.0.5 and especially 2.0 but I guess not. Anyone else experience these issues?

    2.0 flashed at 43k miles

Im going to be attacked by the rest of the MT guys for saying this but it's fine, it's a truck. Expect some rev hang. Lol

How do we determine what our ECU ID is for our vehicle ? are there instructions on how to discern this ?

Knowing your correct ECU ID appears to be required for downloading the correct 2.0 update.

After flashing new tune and clearing LV and AT values, is the "learning" for the next 500 or so miles affected by whether one is using ECT on or off?
In other words, does it matter what position the ECT switch is in (OFF or ON) regarding the tunes "learning?"

Sorry if this has been discussed or mentioned before as I must have missed it.

Ect has a pre determined shift pattern. The transmission will not learn anything. Ect has to be off for transmission to learn the new shift patterns.

Ok so curiosity has me this time as it’s something I’m unsure of because I just don’t remember it being spoken about much or I just missed it when it was.

Anyway, why reset lv and at when flashing the new tune? I flashed new tune and it runs much better by far than the 19800 or the last beta before 2.0 final for my 2019. My common sense tells me why mess with something that’s working fine but my curiosity says what if resetting could make it better? :)

    Thanks for the replies

Just a suggestion from Mat’s flashing instructions for the latest 2.0:

“We recommend AFTER flashing to CLEAR AT and CLEAR LV.”

Admittedly no reason is spelled out but if Mat recommends it for best tune results I’m doing it. :rasta:

Y'all keep posting that, but I still don't understand what it means. More sensitive based on vehicle speed and torque... how? What does that do? As I've said before, I'm pretty much vehicle illiterate, I need someone to draw it out in crayon and explain it like I'm 5. Conversely I'll just test it when the actual final 2.0 is released, but it would be nice to have some understanding first.

If its not going to mean anything to you anyway why dont you just figure out if you like the tune based on how the truck drives?

Because I'd LIKE it to mean something to me. Believe it or not, I actually like learning and getting educated. Also, how about you read the last sentence of my last post. Here, I'll magnify and post it again for you since your eyes must not be that great:
"Conversely I'll just test it when the actual final 2.0 is released, but it would be nice to have some understanding first."

How about this then. What is the "problem" that people are trying to fix with THX tune versions? Why do some people want the "throttle to be more sensitive based on vehicle speed and torque"? At what speeds and torque? What do the two tunes do in identical situations, and why would one be more desirable than the other? If no one is going to explain it, then by all means ignore me and my ignorant questions, but apparently I'm not the only one who doesn't understand the intricacies of this.

Edit: Y'know what, I don't really care at this point. I just want the damn final released like it was promised, and then I can abandon this thread permanently.
