Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I'm just spit ballin here, but it sounds like it's to help eliminate dead pedal at higher speeds? I'm just making this up after reading your post. More sensitive at higher speeds means u won't have to push the pedal down halfway to get it to kickdown and accelerate? Idk maybe I've had too much buffalo trace lol.

I'm i missing something blatantly obvious here?

I can download and install any tune on FM but get an error message every time I try to download 2.0 tunes.

I've been messing with this for over an hour and I'm finally baffled after uninstalling and reinstalling.

 

To recap:

thx is the performance tune throttle response without the aggressive tip in and low speed sensitivity people would complain about with the performance tunes

 

2.0 tunes are not yet in flash manager. You have to get them from the download links

 

How did I manage to miss that haha. I've been trying to keep up for weeks. I'll give it a quick search now. thanks man!

This should clear up any questions on THX very simple really!

 

Might not hurt to know what model, year, and MT or AT. only a few options after that and "identify" is then the definitive answer.

 

I think I wasn’t liking Thx change, whatever that entailed. So far, non-Thx is much better after only 75 miles. Still miss gear lock and D+ETC performance map, but liking this version 04B04 Premium Stock 33 overall. Needs more miles since I reset LV/AT, but if this was all I got I could live with it until vF.

I think, theoretically, thx wouldn't affect low speed throttle inputs.

 

I'm having this same issue but there's no "Open Port" in the drop down, only option is "TIS Techstream VIM". Any thoughts?
