I enjoy it a lot. I've learned it's not for everyone though. Pat is of the mindset of more is not better and all warmups, workout, accessory, stretching should only take an hour. There isn't a strength portion of the workout and then you do a metcon. On heavy days, you just go heavy. For example a workout for a week or two ago was 6 sets of 3 reps of Clean and Jerk, and that's it. There was also accessory work but he always says its optional and you don't need to do accessory work to be fit. I do the accessory everyday because I enjoy it. There also isn't any sort of linear strength program from week to week. He has limited equipment workouts everyday too that are designed around having a pull up bar, a jump rope, and a pair of dumbbells.

At $10/month, its hard to beat. It comes with a beyond the whiteboard subscription and he uploads 3 weeks of workouts at a time. Every day he has a 5-10 minute video talking through the workout and the intended stimulus and whether you should scale and different options to scale. I haven't done Street Parking so I can't compare the two. But if you search the two on r/crossfit there are a bunch of threads comparing them. Comptrain usually gets thrown into the same ring as well.

Just a side note, if you are leaving your current place because of the shit storm GG stirred up and everything going on right now, Pat initially said he was de-affiliating but since changed and is remaining affiliated. Linchpin Athletics will be the new name though regardless of affiliation he said though.

    Thanks.

Nah, not because of Glassman. We love our box and the people there. But have realized 1. Who knows how long this nonsense is going to last
    2. We like working out on our own time. Not having to rush to class.

Already sweating to death and just been moving sprinklers and spraying wasp nests.

couple more quick chores and then I’m hiding all day. Yes I know I’m soft, but I’ve accepted it by now:rofl:

I normally don't mind the heat, but wearing a mask in this humidity sucks.

If you go with someone other than linchpin, let me know what you think. I search every few months about the different ones and consider switching but haven't yet.

I just got done grocery shopping. I kind of enjoyed it before. Now I can't stand it. Between trying to remember the one way aisles, breathing hot stuffy air, and so much being out of stock I would rather do just about anything else.

Is anyone giving a crap about the one way aisles? Honestly even before COVID that would have been a nice addition. Trying to get down the aisle just to get some taco shells and there’s people both stopped going opposite directions leaving the carts willy nilly. If you don’t have a kid in your cart I’m just moving it out of the way I’m not saying excuse me.

Rant over in R.I. we’re actually really good overall with the masks but nobody gives a rip about the one way aisles. I just want to have my reusable bags back. I can do a normal grocery just carrying those, using carts annoys me.

I have no idea. I go at times when the store is almost empty, always have, so I don't really run into more than a few people. I just don't want to blatantly ignore it.

I've ignored the one way aisles too. I haven't seen many people obey them. The Stop & Shop near me had the arrows as just a blue outline. The recently filled them in with red. So I guess no one is obeying them.

I'm with you. It drives me batty when people go the other way. Just be a decent human and play by the rules like the rest of us. It's crappy enough in the world as it is. But I suppose if that's the hill you must die on, so be it.

You guys complain about wearing masks to go grocery shopping. Try wearing one for 12 hours in yesterdays heat!!! I have to wear a mask whenever I'm at work.

Better be careful and disinfect your mask regularly, otherwise bacteria will grow on it and can cause issues on its own

Since this whole thing has started I haven't been to a "real" supermarket. Been shopping at my local little podunk market the whole time. I pay way too much for my groceries but they generally have everything I need.

You should see what it's like in Northwest Piscatiquas Cty, ME. I didn't see a mask the entire 4 days I was there. Lotta Trump bumper stickers and flags though!
