Make sure you have installed the drivers with the flash manager or VFtune software.

Sorry for being snippy, it's been a day and I interpreted your post to be more condescending. I'm not kidding when I say that I'm vehicle illiterate, I don't even fully understand what tip in is (I assume how aggressive a tune is when you first hit the gas, going by all the "open the garage door" jokes). I also have no idea what this "low speed sensitivity" is, unless he just means that it's jumpy at low speeds. It's all Greek to me. I'm just here to "make truck run gooder". I'm going to go crawl into a bottle of Old Crow now. And thank you to everyone who has sincerely tried to help me out.

I just bought VF Tune today and installed it, but I'm waiting for a registration key so it's not setup all the way. Don't the Tactrix drivers install automatically when you first plug the cable in? I haven't seen any options for driver downloads on the Tactrix website...

Yeah, once the drivers install, you will be able to select it. If not you may need to either restart TS and/or your computer. The Tactrix adapter is nothing like trying to get one of the C****se POS cables working.

You can read what ECU version you have with the Toyota flash tool In VFtuner without use of tech stream

    Nothing wrong to ask questions..
I joined this thread when 1.03 was released. It use be more Q&A thread and I did appreciate back then.
I pulled out of 1.04 and waited till 1.05 just because people share the information and peer reviews and forced me learn more about the truck and the issues.

After you connect you can click "ECU Reprogramming", check "engine", click the green arrow at the bottom right. You will get a window like this:

    upload_2020-6-22_22-22-36.jpg

Or perform health check (powertrain only) you should see something like this:

Just flashed the 04B31 5.29 33" Premium non THX, coming from the THX tune. Trying to determine for myself the differences of the two. Anywho, I had an opportunity to test the 5.29 speed limiter and can confirm that the truck does infact still limit the speed of the truck. Truck would hit a wall at 83MPH on the dash (un adjusted for tire size) about 89MPH after doing the math for my tires. I held it WOT at 83MPH for about 10 seconds going downhill, Truck had plenty of power to keep pulling but would just cut out and hold steady at 83MPH (89MPH Corrected). I'm really not too worried about it as i don't ever see myself getting up to that speed, but if it can be fixed it's worth a mention to Matt @OVTune and would just be nice to know in a just in case scenario where i needed to pass someone.

04A61 is the most recent calibration for 2018.

*Edit Don't go just by the numbers. I'm also MT which is different. Not all calibrations apply to all years.
