    I didn't do extensive research but I read that these work for 2nd gen and 4runners but not 3rd gen Tacoma? Maybe it was an old post or something

    2nd Gen sensors will work but you need Techstream. The dealer will do it. $135. I've tried with two different OBD II devices and neither were successful.

    Your 3rd Gen sensors are the same angle as these, because they are designed for alloy wheels. Steel wheels are different and require a different angle.

    Since you're having tires installed the shop might not charge to break your OEM set down to swap yours into these.

    It's not impossible to get the ones outta yours, but it is a pain. There are many methods to break a bead yourself but the easiest is to lay the tire on the ground, then lay a 4x4 about 4' long on it and drive up the 4x4 with another vehicle.
