I bought it to prevent the possibility of flooding our vehicles; after having it for awhile I was like "I want a Toyota"

 

Shit storm away but if I had to pick between a brand new tacoma and a brand new frontier ... I'd go frontier

 

My dad had an 04 or 05 V6 Frontier (2wd), that truck did haul balls even compared to his 99 v8 F150

 

The ONLY new vehicles I’d own are the 5th gen 4runner, or a Lexus rcf

 

The only thing Nissan did right was keep everything the same for a damn long time.

I'd get a 2nd gen Tacoma over a new Frontier if I had to get something newer though; pass on 3rd gen Tacomas.

 

That and the Frontier felt like a "full size" truck too.

Now I've got a Tacoma that's going to be the beater daily.

I ventured to the 4runner forum, and there are so many rear spring options its overwhelming.

Going to sort out to see what offers a 2" lift but offers a nice ride off-road. Thinking I'll lessen the preload on the Kings to 2" for a softer ride...

 

Probably a good idea. That’s awesome you got it though. Don’t forget the EC bushing for the front diff when you do lift it.
