If I had a million dollars...the only difference would be the steak would be free range grass fed and the wine would be more $100 a bottle.
I get my beef on Monday. All the weekend steaks that didn't sell are deeply discounted. This was a 1.2lb T-Bone for $8.99/lb off $15.99. $10.80. I discovered a method for cooking the perfect T-bone and porterhouse. You heat the grill to 600F+ and then stand it on the bone for 5 min.
Then I cook it 3 min each side.
Next rest it on a plate covered for another 5 minutes. Perfect medium rare.

I also grilled some sweet corn on the cob, grilled green peppers and near east rice pilaf with shrimp dropped in...this is a death penalty worthy final meal.
Easter Egg..you can see my favorite app on the TLC Roku tv..

Better cut that open and prove it’s medium rare

You son of a bitch. I just went to the fridge and took a picture of the leftovers. :) and there's only leftovers because I force myself to not be a pig and eat a 1.2 pound steak in one sitting. I always eat the tenderloin side first though. It's a must.

Well I hope flying comes back so my wife still has a job lol!! I dont think business travel will go away like they are predicting. I hope this is the death of the tradeshow, I always hated going to them and getting swarmed by sales people, huge waste of time and nothing but an excuse to go eat some chain steakhouse steak and drink some free booze care of a salesperson.

Wow, this thread is usually dead overnight.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/22/stock-market-futures-open-to-close-news.html

Trade deal clarified as not over, so markets back. And back up. Up bigly big. Hoping that we can break the past month or so plateau. Nrgu looks up too so I’m finally happy :D

I was actually thinking once the markets settle, invest in vxx and wait for the spike. But if it’s five years out and goes up 20 percent that equates to only 4% roi anyway.

we’ve only visited Austin so far. Nice place. If and when we move it will likely to rent in Austin and then we can explore other parts before we buy a house.

yeah maybe sales could be considered something to still fly for, but a lot of interco business travel is probably kaput. Plus long distance interviews were already trending that way.

trade shows depends. There’s a big construction trade show in Vegas, that would probably continue. Can’t sit in a front loader and try it out for ergo and whatnot virtual. Audio/Video trade shows might continue can’t really do those virtual, but they might scale down a bit.

hmm. Well, I will say Austin didn’t feel like a small town to us. But that’s okay, we aren’t looking for po dunk nowhere with a post office and a diner. The food in Austin was killer, and even the vegan food was awesome. Wife is vegan I am not but man, Austin knows how to do burgers and veg tacos. There’s a knock off chorizo (Soyrizo) which is damn good.

we haven’t been to Tucson yet. It would be easier for work for me to go that way. We’d end up in Phoenix most likely if I wanted to continue aerospace and work either for HON sky harbor or one of their local suppliers. But, that’s all part of future maybes. I think if and when we do move soon it will likely be to Austin to rent, and then we can explore the rest of the SW from there before we buy a house anywhere. And it allows us that flexibility if we decide to move back home.

Charleston SC is also within the realm of reason. All big term things. We’ll get there eventually, maybe later than we initially hoped but we’ll get there. Somewhere.

hey. We have a grilling smoking thread too o_O you landed on the threads I post in here. New England stocks and meat. :D

    It's not going away.

    Human nature ain't gonna change.

Facemask to facemask relationship-building will continue to be an integral part of sales and account management, not to mention onsite implementation teams remaining important.

There may be less travel and more staying onsite through weekends. There may be more driving to the client if under 6-8 hours vs flying. Maybe less airtravel overall... but business travel won't be going away.

I was 20 years old when the first Tacoma rolled off the assembly line...but I was driving a beautiful 6 year old 1989 Dodge Colt E...With an AM/FM two speaker sound system, manual windows, manual transmission, no A/C and no cruise control...
It looked like this one here, with the steelies...Bad ass chick magnet...I bent a tie rod in a moment of adolescent curb checking following the discovery of the lack of coefficient of friction during high speed cornering...So the wheel was at 11 to 4 when the car was going straight at one point...

VXX approaching $33 pre market!!!! :)
NRGU up 5%...might be a buy in day...

I won't be here. I'll be sipping margaritas on the beach.:kona::taco::proposetoast::drunk:

(That's not true I'll be sitting pretty until 10). My prediction is we won't see NRGU hit >6 until after the 4th Holiday. I hope I'm wrong, BUT once there's a news article that says "Hey we had 10% more travelers than we thought we would", that'll draw some attention to oil.
