Seems like a somewhat promising business model. Will likely receive a lot of governmental support.

I get nervous around anything, that's at their "all-time-high".

If it's worth anything I'm not putting any of my money into it.

Man that "fake" news about the trade deal sure went away fast. lol

BABA looks good pre-market so that's good. I've still got some July 220 calls that I need to make some money on. Their down about 20% right now. I'll also set a trail on NRGU today and let that ride till it hits. Then just look at charts for 15 minutes before I need to go to work and throw some money at the wall.

True, but remember that every price a stock has ever been at was at one time an "all-time high."

Yep. But they trade under that way more often then they trade at it. Best to wait and get things a few % points off ATH if you think it's going to continue an uptrend. IMO at least.

This all depends on your investing strategy. How long you hold things, etc.

I know what he meant, and agree for the most part. The only issue you run into is if you try to avoid buying something that's high-flying because it's at an all-time high, you might miss out on a lot of gains. I do try to buy at the lower end of the 52-week range too though.

Exactly, If you buy on the low end that’s great, but you never know when the new high is actually the future 52 week low. Couple days ago 4.50 was the all time high. Had you bought at that all time high you’d have a great return already. If it was easy to know for sure, we’d all be swimming in money

Your last sentence is why I just buy whenever I can, and try to stay balanced.

A good example is MO, which I have been adding to for years. I have ALWAYS been adding at 52 week lows, because it seems to be making them often. Then take AAPL, which I have tried to avoid buying as it has run up. I'd be up a lot more if I had kept buying AAPL at new ATHs than adding to MO near lows. I like dividends though so I have no regrets.

Good dividends take a lot of the stress out of not seeing the stock price rise year over year. MO is a great example. I’m guilty of buying more during this downturn, hoping it was actually a new low, and banking on the div continuing to march along.

The problem with the high-flyers like AAPL, is that I have watched it go from about $250, down to $150, and then up to $350, all within about 2 years. It could go right back to $150, or up to $450, or higher in the next few years. I like consistent cash payments, even if it's less and I have to pay taxes on it. "A bird in the hand" as they say.

July-September is too late out here. Mid May to the end of June is the worst time of year in Tucson. July-September is monsoon season, so while it gets hot and humid, it also cools down really quick with the micro bursts. Make sure you do flood plain research (Google Pima County FEMA Flood Plain Map) on the house(s) you are looking at.

It's a green morning on the market!

I dumped another pile of trash today. GCI. It was a long time split from NCT to NRZ to NEWM to GCI. It's garbage. It's gone down and down since the day it was born. Slash and burn print media acquisitions. Zero ROI. Just running and gunning and sinking. It's up a little over the past 2 weeks. I thought it might run up last week when it started to rise but nope...good riddance.

Yeah but, for you at least, if you bought at the lows you're getting 3x the dividends as if you bought at the highs.

Hmmmm good to know actually, didn't know that about the seasons. I have a feeling we won't be doing the first move to Tucson so we can get out there during the spring/early summer once we move to ATX. Thank you!

Psst....guys.....time to buy GCI since it will skyrocket now.

    :boink::rofl:

Boring day for me....NRGU...hold....I can't wait for it to hit 10 so I can bail and start to play monopoly again :D

That's the first stock I ever saw het a Trump bump. Months ago he mentioned it in a speech or something and a friend bought dome soley on the belief it would rise in reaction. Sure enough he 3x his money in like 5 days and got out. I know he's not still following it. He'll shit that it's at $7 now.

BTW right now the Big 10 are all green but trending down to neutral. I would say NRGU is heading for a mild green day.
