All irrelevant without size and type of tire.

If you are running stock tires then follow the door sticker. If you are using an SL, LT or other type of tire you should pull up inflation tables and tire pressure conversion charts to figure out what you need.

I run different psi for different tires.

This. Chalk test showed about 34 hot for me and that caused uneven wear. I moved up to about 42 hot and they wear a lot more even. I was getting really bad wear on the outsides. *not stock tires though

And a sticker on the door stating the pressure for the OEM tires is scientific? If anyone is running anything other than stock tires your scientific door sticker means absolutely nothing.

There is a lot more science into that sticker than Kiichiro stealing his kids chalk and pretending to be Bill Nye. Door sticker is a start. You don't want to run lower than that regardless of what tires you put on. Running more up to the tire max is a personal choice for various reasons and none of them have anything to do with driving around a parking lot with chalk.

I run 38 on the stock 16" GY Kevlars. Its been great on-road and no problems at all in the soft sand dunes and ruts by the ocean.

I put Toyo Open Country AT's on my truck.

Was running 32 cold. Moved up to 36 cold and got about 1.5 MPG improvement.

well ide have to disagree, our trucks aren't heavy enough for E rated tires like most of us run and if you were to run the door sticker psi with those (at least In my experience) your going to get major uneven wear.

I've noticed the same thing when I was on ToyoCare. I think they over inflate as you'll lose some pressure over the next 6 months or so before you come in again, but probably won't go below the recommended 30psi during that time.

He's on stock tires. That sticker is for stock tires.

Gotcha. Yeah, the sticker won't reflect reality on different load ranges or sizes.

Let your tires tell you. Start by running mid 30s, check your tread wear across the treads in 4 to 5 K Miles. Adjust up 2 PSI is tires are wearing more on the outside tread than the center treads. Adjust down 2 PSI if tread is wearing more on the center treads. Wait another 4 to 5 K Miles, re-evaluate. I find that my (POS) Firestone Destinations wear most evenly at about 36 PSI.

37 PSI all around on the stock Goodyear Wranglers for the best MPG. If I want a better ride, than 33-34 PSI

30psi cold in the garage, summer. 34psi cold in the garage, winter.

In summer they’ll expand to 34-36 and winter will contract to 29-30.

My dealer sets mine higher as well. Just a matter of readjusting later.

    Edit: stock tires.
