I just bend metal all day so I deal with a VERY small number of people lol

 

Sounds good to me.

I work for a call center for worldwide security, but mainly US. Phones are mandatory, but since I'm hearing impaired with hearing aids, it took me several years to get to a point where I don't have to use the phones. I get hella emails though, so I have to stay on top of that. Mainly speak to technicians and their managers and some of them are just plain dumb.

"Why is there a delay in getting parts?"

OH, I don't know, man. Maybe there was an whole ass shutdown for 2+ months because of a pandemic?

My favorite is we have a service advisor who has been here forever.
We tell him, "it's on backorder with no eta."
He will tell us seriously, "Get one. Tell em I said so."

Yeah, like they care who the f^%# you are...

I hate people. I'm hearing impaired too. You can ask all the st. Louis guys. "Huh" is my favorite word lol

 

"Please tell them to expedite it, we need this tomorrow." Like I already didn't request it to be sent as soon as humanly possible. We can only do so much.

Hearing impaired, huh? Hard of hearing or deaf? I'm latter. lol @Sociopenguin had to work with me without hearing aids for awhile. I had to squint my eyes to read his lips to try and figure out what he was saying.

I was born deaf. My ears also ring 24/7 the quieter the environment is the louder they ring. Right now I don't hear them ringing since I work in a manufacturing plant

Hereditary for me as well, grew into it around 5 years old. Tinnitus is the worse, comes on randomly for me.

 

I do that... and I’m not deaf lol

 

Weird.. my buddy is too.. has like 90-98% loss. Just shy of being totally deaf. Sends a whole lot of iMessages lol

 

lol, I do have hearing aids. Like @Sasquatch3153 , it takes a lot of huh's for me to register what was said.

I had hearing aids back in high school and then some asshole stole them out of my gym locker and destroyed them so there went a few thousand dollars down the drain
