Are you gonna go engine bay now? Or still try and keep it in the bumper?

 

The original plan was where the battery currently is but I got excited that the controller would fit in the bumper.

Anyone in San Diego have a 3rd Gen driver side CV axle I can buy off of them? Used is totally fine. I'm in serious need of one.

 

CVs are not side specific and are the same 05 and up. If you need one now your local chain parts store should have one in stock.

 

Anyone have any luck getting spare CVs from local junkyards?

 

Very unlikely, it’s such an easy pull and there’s such a market for them that the recycler would have them out pretty early if they are in good shape.

 

Anyone got an exhaust manifold for the 2016-20 3.5 they can either sell me or let me borrow? I tried all the local junkyards but most don't have any or if they do, they are all busted up. We are going to make some headers and a header-back exhaust finally!

Guys, keep the secret here on the internet, but beers sit the same way on 1/4” $40 HDPE as they do on a mountain hatch...

 

If you think that's overkill wait until you see mine. I tried to get it to hold a beer, best I could do was a coke though...

 

How about root beer? And I dont even know what a mountain hatch is.

 

I am ramping up for some major repairs next week. Does anyone know where I can find a C.A.R.B legal direct fit cat that doesn’t come from the dealer? It seem like every web site I check does not have any.

 

It varies by year and engine group #, there is an OE sticker under your hood that you have to reference. The front cats are part of the header so there is no bolt on option but I was able to find a carb legal cat from Walker for my 06’. The guys at Magnaflow referred me to RPM in Oceanside and they were a huge help and did the install for me.

 

looking at doing this myself. Quick question... did you simply reuse the screws already there or get longer ones? Thanks!

 

Just reused the old ones. I’m sure you can get crazy with it and find some that are 100% flush but the old ones work fine.
