This “sport” is a shell of its former self. I’m surprised people even follow it at all anymore. ESPECIALLY the way NASCAR has been the past few weeks. That aside, NASCAR has been going downhill since 2005-2007 or so. Once all the old drivers started to retire, it wasn’t worth watching anymore. Anyone else not interested in watching Bill Elliott’s spoiled rich kid ride in circles and collect millions more? Many of these drivers are only there because of their name. Not because of any “talent”. Go look at the roster. Nothing but sons and grandsons of old greats. Privileged ones. How can you root for that? Not like the golden days of Alan Kulwicki, Davey Allison, Wallace, Earnhardt, Martin, etc, etc, etc..

Actually I think people on social media were figuring it out yesterday before the FBI. Pretty much a ton of people were mass pinging NASCAR on social media this morning with videos and images of loops in several of the garage stalls that it forced NASCAR's hand to release their statement tonight. They even found a video last night of the same stall Bubba was in this race with the loop in the pull down rope visible from the 2019 fall race. By this morning they had the a meme picture going everywhere with a frame of that video on one side showing the loop and the other side a pic of Bubba's stall from this race where you could tell the loop was cut off because the rope was considerably shorter.

Here is the meme pic that was being massed pinged on twitter, someone screwed up the date of the fall race as november when it should have been october.

edit: The video was uploaded to youtube in november 2019, that is why the picture is dated as such. Video was most likely filmed in October 2019.
