    I always like heat indices that are lower than the temp. Doesn't happen where I am, but I find it "interesting".

    Talked to a couple county equipment operators today. They're working every other week.

    ....pfffft.....

    So, if ever anyone is out an about on public lands, or even private land, where there are old "ruins" or signs that it was once a built up area, watch your step.

    I found this a couple weeks ago. Initially there was about a 4"×6" opening on the surface that I just happened to come across. Today I finally got a chance to deal with it. It's an old "out house" style toilet vault. People had been camping on top of it for who knows how long. Given the age of the concrete it was just a matter of time before a person or vehicle fell through it.

    You can see the tire tracks from the last people to drive over it. I found it when I seen them parked there. As I got out of my truck to walked over to talk to them I seen the opening but I wasn't thinking "toilet vault". It was more like " ...doesn't look serious".
