My 15 db 4x4 truck is pretty loud. People complain they can't hear me on my Bluetooth Alpine stereo. What do you suggest I get to make it a bit quieter?

Any suggestions on dc doors gaskets. Has anyone adjusted the doors for the cross wind problems?

    Thanks

I Dynamatted my doors and also the back wall. Made a big difference. Far less "tinny".

I sound deadened my roof. Just did the driver's side doors today. Passenger side tomorrow. Back wall on Friday. So far I'm impressed. NOICO Red insulation and 8mil sound mat

I did the doors, floor and back wall when I did my stereo. I used Ballistic sound deadening . Much quieter. Made the back window loud though..... gonna take out the headliner and do the roof at some point. I never had the cross wind noise on my 15 but I think there’s a few threads on that here somewhere.

Are you doing double layer of inner and outer?

The outer door skin has the sound deadening and the inner door skin has the thermal insulation.

I know you can just put the thermal on top of the silver noise deadening but I wanted two barriers.

I did the roof, floor, back wall and doors. Made a huge reduction in road noise. Much quieter inside and that tin sound from the rain is ALL gone. So much better. No finished pics20160407_191123.jpg 20160409_144514.jpg

Beautiful work. How much did you spend on the materials and how much material did it take?

I used 2 boxes of that yellow stuff. I'll have to dig around the threads to see how much came in each box, was a group buy here. And then a little more to finish 1 door. Probably around $280 or so i think to do it.

Instead of a roll of material, they also come in precut size tiles for ease of install. Just peel and stick.

I used Noico 80 mil sound deadener and Noico 315 mil thermal. Floors, doors, back panel all done. Already a very noticeable improvement inside the cabin. The whole family can have a conversation and the people in the back can hear those in the front. Next up is the headliner which will make it that much better.

most of the materials are in rolls and only 80mil. The link is for 100mil thickness pre cut tiles. This saves you time and your hands having to cut everything to size. unless you are just going to cover the whole surface which is effective but uses more more material for the same effect.

I did what a lot of these guys did. I gutted the entire cab and put a two part sound deading system any place I could.

    I used B-Quiet https://www.b-quiet.com/

That was 8 years ago and what a difference it made in sound quality.
