    Hello and thank you lol

I’m a first time owner of a Tacoma
I got a 2020 trd pro and have a few questions that I keep getting different answers to and I’m generally confused. First what’s the biggest tire and rim I can put on without having to lift the truck or shave off anything? And is it more difficult to lift a trd pro? And if so what makes it harder to do compared to other trim lines,
thank you and I greatly appreciate Any feedback means a lot!

The size you have on the pro is the largest size you can get without any modifications.

Or you could do 255/85R16 to be a little taller but skinnier.

most people replace entire suspension to lift, yours is lifted 1” more than the other models, and has the nicer suspension Already. so that would be the only thing making your lift more challenging.

hope this helps, and welcome to TW

also, we try to reserve the word “Help” in thread titles for emergencies. Try to change that out when you can.

Thanks! I’ll edit the title, I greatly appreciate the info, I read I can go as high as a 17inch rim, guess not, I was looking for abit more of a taller ride without gutting the current Suspension

Hello and welcome to the forum!

The lift on the Pro is not more difficult than other trim levels. Same level of difficulty. I've done many lifts over the years so hopefully that's the experience you were seeking. Your Pro suspension is way "nicer" than what you normally get on the other trims. You've already paid a premium for the Pro suspension, so i'd say keep it unless you really really want to lift your truck. It would be likely that the lift you put on is a downgrade unless you want to spend money to do your lift the proper way with new coilovers, upper control arms, and leafs/shocks.

Im not 100% sure. I know you can put at least 265/75/16. May be able to go to an 85 if you modify the fender well since your Pro is 1" higher than an OffRoad

Some of the guys in the AG thread have already swapped tires out so you might be able to get some ideas from them as well.

you can get bigger wheels, you have 16 inch rims but 17s will fit. The TRD sports come with 17s. The 265/70R17 is the same size tire for 17 inch rims. And the skinny tire equivalent is 255/80R17. You can search for the “pizza cutter” threads for exact sizes and pictures. I know they work on TRD off-road rims

    No. No. No.

I have 265/75/16s on mine. All stock, 20k on em and no rubbing at all even wheeling. Many run 285s with no issues. Enjoy the new truck!

Incorrect about stock size the largest size you can fit on the pro.
    Stock is 265/70/16
Can fit 265/75/16 on stock suspension.

FYI, TRD sport comes with 265/65/17 stock, but can fit 265/70/17 without rubbing

Maybe it is just the dealers around me, the pros all have the 265/70R17 or 265/75R16 on the lot.

I was referring to OPs comment on how he heard that he can fit 17s on the pro.
