moved out of my girlfriend's brothers house today him and me were splitting. been 3 1/2 years. over the past 2 years we have been dealing with insecurities she cant get over. lately shes been nothing but nagging and complaining about everything i do. i became unhappy and did like how things were going.

then last night we got into a fight and she said she was "done" and to "pack my shit". she also said she was only with me because we had been together so long. i knew this was all out of anger and not meant but i went to bed thinking. i woke up and said "im gone". i packed up and left. at first she didnt believe me, then she started bawling her eyes out which was the hardest part. then she became mad and is acting like she doesnt care.

ive spent the past 3 1/2 years putting her first. im finally putting me first and my happiness first but i still feel guilty for doing that. i also have my doubts still, but i think of my happiness and i know i made the right decision.

these next few months are going to be horrriibbbllleeee :(

shitty. everything happens for a reason.

don't worry about how much time you have spent together. it better to end it now with any doubts than be together for another ten years feeling even more stuck.

if it meant to be, you guys will get back together down the road.

keep your head up man. Just stay busy. Eventually it will click in that "hey, i am so much happier now". Go out and do all the things you wanted to do.

Break-ups are always hard. Been there done that. It will be tough for the next month of being single, but I swear, once the pain subside you'll be much happier.

I feel you man, Mine broke up with me on Wednesday due to Her past playing too much of a role in her life. We were looking to be engaged soon and I thought everything was going great then Bam, all the time of putting her first and me second was for nothing,

Anyways keep the chin up man and make life about YOU for a while. Im doing the same, putting Me first now and getting the build on the truck finished instead of constantly spending money trying to make a girl happy.

last night was miserable guys, i tossed and turned for hours. whats killing me the most is leaving her alone. she lives at home because her mom's health is not so great. so she is stuck doing college work, cooking, cleaning, and helping her mom on her own now. i used to help her out with that and now that im not, i feel like total shit.

i didnt really ever discuss how unhappy i was with her, i had brought up some issues i was having but never talked about me leaving. because of this she says i blindsided her and thats whats hurting her the most. it sucks hearing her cry, i feel so miserable. i know a lot of our issues will never be fixed, but im finding it hard to find a positive in this situation

Give her some time apart, then talk to her sometimes we need time away to realize what someone really means to us. If you do go back (not saying you should) put all your issues with her on the table & make sure she is willing to work on them first before moving back in. Good luck!

It sucks, but you need the time apart. Maybe you can reconcile, maybe you can't, but you have to give it time. You sound like a stand up guy, feeling bad for not helping her out anymore. Keep your head up!!!

It's called breaking up because it's broken. Keep a good thought for her and her situation and move on. There are millions more to choose from.
