wait, you're in NC...I'm going to assume nowhere near Pisgah because I was just there and I can confirm the travel was appreciated..

@Not_Sure may be in Raleigh or further East. Gets pretty flat East of Greensboro, I ride some of the "singletrack" in Raleigh on my dropbar gravel bike.

I lived in eastern N.C. for 6 years and it’s generally flat as a pancake. However, there are some decent trails but there is just not enough of them. One downside is you never stop pedaling...ever.

I was born in Pitt Co. so I only ate chopped BBQ until I was 9 months old as is tradition.

Raleigh for the win! I missed the WNC trip this weekend. @Bannerman is familiar with the area around me. Pisgah is once a year, wish I could get there more often.

So far, 120-130 up front and 120 back are the 'recommended bikes'. Like an earlier post, there are a few I am looking at to replace my Fuel EX. Great bike, I'd like to try carbon.

This is where I am. Shortlist is
    1. Stumpy ST 29 Expert
    2. Yeti SB100 (but I'll look @ 115)
    3. Ibis Ripley SLX build
    4. Pivot 429 Trail XTR build
    5. Evil Following v3

Good thing my timeframe is September - new bikes and (hopefully) 2020 close outs

I was raised in Wake Forest, parents are still there and in-laws are in Raleigh. Makes me sad the lack of trails up there, and it's getting worse by the month it seems. But least Jeff is still building trails in Wake Forest!

True, we are losing some. Still have good options in Wake Forest and north on hwy98.

Agreed, Jeff is a godsend of the mtn bike gods.

I think you are loosing some of that too, I thought I'd heard some of the trail off 98 towards Durham was shut down? Beaverdam maybe?

It definitely adds a bit of wobble compared to a 1Up mounted directly in the hitch, but it's still much better than any other rack I've seen. Just make sure that anti-wobble plate is on there correctly.

Oh god, I almost ate shit a bunch of times this morning on the BST. My hardtail needs new rubber.

I can definitely say that I'm happy I no longer get my BBQ soaked in vinegar.

yep, same thoughts I had when they got Oscar (same name as my dog actually). My fiance always liked watching his videos with me if it included the pups.
