    Also- I don’t care either way but as an FYI, name dropping special operation units typically means less credibility. I mean my wife’s best friends husband was SF, but when he wasn’t doing that, he was a cook. Pretty cool dude but he couldn’t get her to understand the difference.

    You might not be enough of a deviant... it’s not for the faint of heart and you do have kids to mentor still. Me- I just deal with other vets, on the days I actually work. They have certain expectations I need to maintain and that thread just helps reenforce those ideals.

    That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard regarding firearms. I can guarantee you that if I am shooting at you with a shotgun loaded with "00" buck and a full choke, you are in no way safe out to about 50 meters.

    I am a very accurate shot with a rifle and pistol, but I am an absolute surgeon with a shotgun. They are pretty much my weapon of choice and after thousands and thousands of rounds on a clay course, hunting birds and CQB shooting with a shotgun....trust me I am qualified to make this statement.
    You go right ahead and keep thinking shotguns are only good for killing birds and less than lethal. :facepalm:

    i completely fucking understand that shotguns kill people all the fucking time

    i also have an intimate understanding of the massive variety of lethal load options for a fucking shotgun

    i also understand that a shotgun is a horrible option if I have a pistol or a rifle available

    i don't shoot ducks or pheasant recreationally, I don't
    have a need to break up a riot or disarm a mentally incapable person, and I don't need to ballistics breach doors.

    lastly, I don't live in a communist state that requires the use of a rifle barrel on a shotgun to take a deer during hunting season. another impractical use of a shotgun, primarily for political purposes

    capacity, methods of operation over ammunition types, manual of arms, range,

    besides birds, breaching, and non-lethal, tell me what shotguns do better than a rifle or pistol

    I'll fucking wait.
