Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I always felt the racking of a shotgun was both exhilarating as well as frightening. It all depends on which end you are on.

i don't have to compromise if i use a pistol.

capacity, cycles of function, the likelihood that my weapon will cycle the ammunition it's fed, maneuverability

and a miss is a miss, selecting a round on it's ability to not kill a potential target isn't one i'd load in a weapon

hope isn't a method, and i do not fire a round if i don't have an identified threat, a good sight picture, and a clear backdrop. if i follow the four rules to safe firearms handling i should be just fine.

and if a person sucks at firing a pistol they're not magically going to perform any better with a shotgun. if you suck, then you suck. stop sucking and go to the range, preferably with something that shoots new and improved Bullets® pellets are what rabbits shit, and slugs are snails without shells. they all have their places, but a gunfight isn't one of them.

AR 12 stays in the safe. Maverick 88 stays accessible.

Any regrets about an AR vs traditional? Extremely surprised, that seems like a great price!

    well, you're in luck.

because when you join civilization in the 21st century you don't have to compromise.

because most rifle box magazines carry twice the capacity of that disgusting shotgun 12-round ammunition drum

No. It functions very well and the recoil is managed very well with the spring. I do wish they had used US milspec buffer tubes to allow changing the stock, but the factory stock isnt uncomfortable.

    yeah?

how often do you see professionals using a shotgun in a gunfight when they have a rifle available?

oh yeah, i should have clarified. they do keep shotguns around, they're used for non-lethal... and breaching.

Dude, we get it. You know more about guns than anyone else and you know that everyone who has a shotgun for protection is an idiot. But, being idiots, we just don't agree and don't give a flying duck about your opinion on it.

Nope... I want to use a spear, better penetration. I have a brick house so less concerned about hot walls.

I am an auto fan. I have 3 pump shotguns and I never shoot them, although stoeger makes an auto. I like the Benelli, its just a quality weapon, and for $1200-$1600 not a bank breaker, shit, my sporting clay over under is $5k+ so I guess its perspective :notsure:

I’m not cheap but I’m cheap with guns. Out the box, 1k is my limit with another 1k max in additional shit attached. I can get as quality as I personally need at that price and I don’t have uncle sugar to pay the bill anymore.

Also- if I want or need better, I’ll just break into peoples homes for it. 99% of them have never even shot at anyone without using a controller to do it. Probably goes for half the people in this thread too. :D

(MODS- obviously I’m not going to steal one)
