My local outdoor shop has the silpolly style unltralight ones for 10$ WITH CHALK. I need to stop in and see if they have any.

    this and that...
i think this is a pretty cool idea. im gonna try it out, but not for drinks per se. im gonna use it for odds and ends trash. you know like receipts you get if you go through the drive thru and what not. then just unclip and dump when its full.

Haha, agreed but I got them on sale / used my REI dividend. Lots of cheaper options that will work just as well, I just liked the gray waxed canvas.

I clicked on this post thinking I'd comment something about "why not just buy one of those cheap adapters on Amazon..." but I like this fix a lot more. I have a love/hate relationship with my current adapter... it's cheap and ugly, but it let's me put my water bottle down without it rolling around and that thing is like a security blanket for me.

This looks great, and I probably have some chalk bags laying around somewhere... or a need to go get some anyway because my fucking kids always leave theirs laying around when we leave the climbing gym (which is opening soon... woot!).

Definitely have to see how this does. I grabbed a cheap bag off Amazon and had a pencil lying around, ha. This is perfect for my 32oz aluminum Liberty water bottle and Hydro Flask.

Super huge thank you for this recommendation. I ordered the same chalk bag as OP during the Etsy sale and it came in the mail Friday. Installing took all of about a minute. Extremely simple to complete and is a great addition to the truck.

@Skydvrr in all honesty, it looks exactly like OP's pictures. The only thing I did differently was to use a heavy duty (compaired to dry cleaner's) clothes hanger as my "anchor". I'll pull it out tomorrow and take some pictures. I am pretty stoked about this drink holder option though. I just got my Tacoma last week and it is as fun (and expensive) as the mods I have made/am making to my 1997 Land Cruiser. This forum seems to be the ih8mud.com of Tacomas. Thank you guys for having me!
    ~Katie
