    Things you will need:
10mm deep well ratchet (or a 10mm ratcheting wrench)
    Box knife/ carpet knife/ sharp knife/ razor,
Dodge ram towing mirrors 1995-2002 (got mine off Amazon),
Some time of plastic or rubber material, i used the plastic yoy use to cover the room when you are going to paint. The more hevy duty the better, black silicone, gorrilla glue, 1/2" drill bit and drill, 6 washers or 2 metal plates cut to fit insde part of mirror mounting location.

Step one: make sure you have the right mirrors.

Step two: remove stock mirrors using 10 mm ratchet

Step three: drill out all 6 bolt holes with drill bit.

Step four: hand thread studs on the new mirrors. Do not use the nuts to make the studs tight to the dodge mirrors unless you have a pair of good pliers to hold stud in order to remove the nut.

Step six optional: add the hevy duty rubber or plastic then add the foam padding.

Step seven: mount the mirrors hand tighten the nuts make sure you have washers or the metal plate on before the nuts.

Step eight: use ratchet tighten till tight.

Step nine: notice where the plastic from the mirrors are touching the the door. Now remove the mirrors use sharp knife and shave the plastic till plastic doesn't touch door remount the mirrors.

Step ten: enjoy your new mirrors and cut the heavy duty plastic till hidden by the plastic from the mirrors. Shove the silicone in between the mirrors and the door to stop wind and any leaking of water. 20190722_164125.jpg 20190722_182241.jpg Screenshot_20190722-203200_Amazon Shopping.jpg 20190722_205435.jpg

Doesn't look impossible. I'm guessing that any tow that really needs them is likely too big to be towing, though.

There's probably a way to fit *real* mirrors like my 1970 Datsun had once upon a time, too.

They might not look the best, but towing a box trailer with a narrow 1st gen has me wanting some. They have to be better than clip on extended mirrors and you can get power, heated mirrors. I think some aftermarket ones that'll fit even have another turn signal in them

here are a few more angles since I’ve had the truck. The mirrors have a good strong swivel joint at least. they get smashed on brush and trees all the time and haven’t broken off yet. They also let me see behind the truck

    From Oregon to CA o_O

You'd think a Californian would buy a truck from CA.

I go up to Grass Valley in Nevada County once or twice a year to see my in-laws. There are tons of cool Toyotas up there for sure, haven't really looked at prices though but I'm not surprised it's crazy especially the 4x4 market. Close to a lot of great trails out that way
