Huh I thought it sold for some reason. Either way you know how to get ahold of me for that or the blazer bumper whenever you’re ready.

Sup guys. In flagstaff now. Kinda settled ish.
Who was it that worked for Toyota? I need a VSC reset after some nasty pot holes on the highway back in KY. Already got it realigned. But the holes were bad enough 18 wheelers were bouncing all over as well.
Also need a good Honda shop. Wife’s van is due for the Timing belt job and associated stuff. No interest in doing that myself.

@AZoverlandTaco is the guy at the dealership.

Otherwise, welcome to flagstaff. Hit me up if you ever need anything or want to go wheeling. My truck needs excuses to get out more

Will do. Especially since I don’t have much of a driveway to wrench. Plus all my major tools are packed in storage.
Hopefully I can find a buyer for these 285/75R17s so I can drop a size or two. The move killed me. Going to be awhile before I can plan a regear.

Anyone good with quadrajet carbs or know someone that is in Phoenix? Im getting word that my Blazer might not actually be vapor locking and the carb is simply not setup correctly and its running rich/flooding when I drive it.

This is what I had posted on ck5.com and below the picture Ill quote some replies from guys over there.

"The part that seams to be sticking is the round brass colored valve. When the truck dies this valve is stock in the position you see right now. After it cools off/gets wiggled, I am able to push it in and it slowly retracts. It seems as though its filling with fuel or something. This could be completely wrong but it seems to allow the truck to fire right up when I was able to push the lever/spring into the valve once or twice.

Also something that was happening this time that didnt happen before is backfiring. Id be cruising along, it would start to stumble if I gave it too much throttle, let off and get back on the throttle and it would shoot a flame out the tailpipe. If I pushed the throttle to the floor eventually it would stall out."

You can change those vacuum module. You also have some vacuum line issues. Theres one port on the carb not even plugged. One big one should go from brake booster to a bigger port on the back. The distributor should have a vacuum line go to the base (small line) usually dont see a"T" fitting . One line should go from pvc valve to carb also I believe. One line usually comes off the manifold heater to open or close the choke.

Also theres springs (2ea) in the disributor that control the advance, over time they rust out or get weaker. Could cause problems. If you take off the cap and twist rotor one way shouldnt move then twist the other way and it should move with resistance. Release and should go back to "retarded" position, if it sticks or goes back slowly the springs are worn out.

In case anyone has been in the market for suspension, Trail Tailor is doing a small group buy for the Tough Dog kit I am running on the Taco. $1227 for Assembled Front 40mm 9 Stage Adjustable Struts, Upper Control Arms and 40mm Rear Adjustable shocks.

Tough Dog is still developing rear leaf packs, so interested buyers will have to source an AAL or Pack replacement of their choice to complement the rest of the kit.

Skydive is on the next bucket list. And unless I make a career of it, I'll never be able to afford to fly heli's as a hobby right now. But I want to fly, and this is within my range...
