Alexa Update (2019 Tacoma)

Once your phone has updated to the latest version of the Toyota Entune app, the next time you connect your phone to the Taco via BT it will prompt to update the head-unit.

 

Updated mine today.

hmmm, I downloaded and paired the Entune 3.0 app with my 8" (non JBL) Taco radio, but no updates or options like shown in the above picture?

 

This is for the older 2.0 Entune. I assume there's something similar for 3.0 but no idea.

 

I’m assuming this won’t apply to Canadians and our stripped down version of Entune with no app?

Yeah. I can’t get the map to work or it would be dope.. or text capability.. all I can do is music.. weather. And her to tell me a story... lol

Awesome!! Just did the update. Can play Pandora once again with controls on the unit.

 

Anybody get Spotify to work?

 

How y’all getting pandora to work? Just using entune app? Mine keeps asking to like open the app on my phone constantly. Weird

 

Enable Alexa. Then just say “Alexa play xxxx radio station on Pandora” and you’ll get what I got on my previous post. You do have to link your Pandora account to your Alexa.

 

You should be able to by just saying “Alexa play xxxx on Spotify” your accounts should be linked though.

Edit: nevermind, I tried and got “Spotify is not supported on this device.”

 

I told Alexa to take me to an address and it added it to stock nav. Worked pretty well.

Still trying to get it play spotify though. And it's annoying that it keeps telling me to unlock my phone to work.

 

Seems like Spotify won’t work. I got “Spotify is not supported on this device.”

 

That's what I keep getting. Pretty lame if we can't figure out a workaround.
